okay so we think we might get one of these jeep battery cars for my son for christmas. Does anyones child here have one? which kind or brand? how long does it last before recharging?

I bought my 4-1/2 yr old son a "12-Volt Power Wheels Yamaha 4 wheeler" for his 2nd birthday and it is still going! There's not a day that he doesn't ride it. He probably rides it at-least 3 or 4 hrs a day all together. I have 2 batteries for it so when 1 starts running down I have one ready to take its place. Sometimes we get 4 days out of a battery. That was the best $200 I ever spent. I recommend the 4 wheeler, thus the steering is an easier concept for them to understand (handlebars vs. steering wheel) I hope this was helpful. Good Luck!

My Dad bought our daughter a Power Wheels one for $10 at a gargae sale and the lady said it needed batteries. We got 2 batteries down at Walmart and let me tell you it was the best investment. That little car is like the energizer bunny. It runs a long time on one charge. I keep thinking wow when will it need to be recharged. I hhaven't had any of the other brands, but the Power Wheels one works really well for us and this one was old and left outside

i got one and it is a good investment. my kids loved them ...the batteries lasted us 2 and half days and that was with them riding them non stop. we had the barbie jeep and the cadillac escalade

the fisher price brands are the best. Please make sure your child is old enough to drive with out you screaming and running to catch him before he hits the street.
