my son is 3 years old me him and my boyfriend and his 4 year old daughter have lived together now for about 8 months. my son used to listen so well to me and be so sweet but for the last 3 months he does nothing but cry and whine and yell an hit, he is constintly teasing my bfs daughter and yelling at her an trying to hit her, same thing with me i dont know what to do anymore im so frustrated. the 4 year old isnt inncoent either and she often encourages it but its still not right for him to act this way. ive tried sitting him in the corner it doesnt work, he jus plays if i send him to his room. ive tried to talk to him and it ends with a im sorry mommy and a kiss an he goes and does it again... is this just a normal stage of a 3 year old little boy? and how can i controll him better or make him stop?? advice? what works or doesnt work for you?

I drop my 4 year old off with his grandpa and he lets him destroy everything which is not sitting well with grandma. What gets me is grandpa is big on hunting and guns and he lets my 4 year old play with bullets and load guns. It was fine when grandpa did it for him for his gun that shot foamballs but grandpa says hes too big for that now. I went to pick him up at grandpas house and he was climbing up his grandpas dresser where he keeps a gun in the drawer and bullets in it too. He was in the room alone and wanted to shot it. I've tried everything from not taking the child there to being right on top of them to talking with the grandparents and setting boundaries. He goes right behinde my back and does the opposite of everything I say. All of our guns are in a combination and key lock safe so home fine. Hes okay at home. He doesn't destroy anything or try to get his fathers guns. What should I do? Hes a completely different child there.

My son is 3 and his grand parents and great grandparents let him do things that we dont approve of-- I have heard the saying that "that's what we do- spoil them" but how do you handle a situation such as letting them play with REAL tools (hammer, tape measure, ect..) at the age of 2/3. Or them telling you that you disipline your child too much, that "he is only 3 and doesn't understand" I am not saying that my child is any better than another but he is really smart for his age and they tend to give into his wants-- then when he comes home it is nothing but a battle for us to get him to mind. Any suggestions would greatly help!!!!!!!

I took my daughters temp today (this evening) and it read 102 degrees. (She had been acting funny and felt hot all day).

She is 14 months old and before today, has never had a fever or otherwise been sick.
She's a healthy kid.

I gave her the reccomended dose of Motrin right before I put her to bed. And it's after hours at her pediatrician, and I wouldn't really consider this an emergency.

I don't have experience with sick kids, like I said, she's never had a fever before. The only other symptom she had was a runny nose.

So are there any tips you can share with me?
Do I have to wake her up in a few hours to take her temp?

okay, this is a weird question, but i'd like advice from other moms..

i got a diaper genie when my son was born.. and i realized that within the past week, it hasnt been working that well at all.... i guess i just need a REALLY good odor control remover and i've tried glade, oust, febreeze, lysol, febreeze air effects.. i spray it with oust and lysol to kill the germs every day and i wash the inside with bleach at least once a week.. but it doesnt seem to help at all.. it worked great when we first got it up until now.. and yes, i am using stage 2.. they should make a stage 3. so yea.. hes 19 months old, so i dont really want to buy something new now

so, any suggestions on stuff that DOESNT cover it up but REMOVES THE ODORS IN THE AIR.

i even tried putting stick ups in the diaper genie and they dont help.

also.. i've tried putting the diapers outside but his room still smells because i change him in there.

He says some words (mommy, daddy, yes, no) but his vocabulary is not very big and the rest is like a foriegn language. He does understand everything we say though. He speaks his own language a lot and I was just wondering if that is normal at his age. I think my 4 yr old was speaking better at this stage.

My son is 21 months and was a very later walker. He walks now but has a hard time and falls constantly. He goes to therapy to try and help with his tippy toe walking and running, but he does stand flat footed sometimes. It is so hard to keep shoes on him cause his right foot is turned and all his toes looks like he has horrible arthritis. His pediatrician just keeps blowing me off like nothing is wrong but there has to be a reason. I heard something about birth complication causing this, has anyone else? Or has anyone else seen or had this problem?? His poor little toes make me wanna cry cause they are just so crooked and curved and he always gets booboo's lol (ouchies) on them when he falls and trips. Does anyone know of eve some shoe that help with this? Anything will help....

She's been doing this since she was about 6-8 mos old. They 're HUGE...like a man poop, and it hurts her soooo much...Milk of Mag...DOESN'T HELP. It is sooo stressful, and I can't hardly take the pain on her little face. She eats anything we put in front of her( just not a ton of it). Her fiber probably needs a boost, but it can't be just that.

Serious question!
When walking my son home from nursery the other week he needed a wee, he did this by standing by a tree, his pants (& boxers) down + went.
My friend said that this is wrong & he will get laughed at at school if he uses the urinal like this?
What should I teach him (how should he go outside & in school?)
Please help us!
Thanks Lol xxx.

We live in a rural setting, my son (who is 3) has been potty trained for a while now & always lets us know when we are in the house, but if we go for a walk in the nearby woods / park ect.. he stands still & wets his pants.
He will also wet himself on a long car journey too.
I get him to go before we leave the house but if we are out a while he wets himself, I dont want to put him back in pull ups as he may regress.
Please help.
Lol.
