why don't you try like a thrift store. you can make your on costume there. if she wants to be a fairy, then go to the thrift store and find her a sparkly dress and some wings ,a wand and maybe a tiara or something. if you can't find anything there, then try walmart or party city or something.but for me,i would defiantly start with the thrift stores. you save money. you can't go wrong!!

I think Target has the most inexpensive costumes, and they have a pretty good selection of toddler costumes. Go soon and don't wait until the few days before Halloween or the costumes will be very scarce especially for a toddler. Also don't limit yourself to the Halloween section. Last year I got these ballerina/princess type costumes for my 2-year-old twins in Target's girls' dance clothes section.

A thrift store! Seriously, why pay 30.00 when the kid wears it for an hour or 2? I got my daughter's costume (ladybug) from a friend and it's in perfect condition from last year. I'm not buying it at the retail stores until she's old enough to ask for a specific costume.

Check on Disney's site (disneyshopping.com). They have some very cute costumes on sale right now for under $20. I got my daughter a tinkerbell costume for $9.95.

Target has a great variety of sensible (and non!) costumes. Old Navy also has nice ones for infants and toddlers too.
