the main intense component is to maintain her hydrated whilst she's experiencing persistant vomiting and diarrhea. Fluids are the main intense for infants with the tummy flu. Pedialite is meant to be the final, yet juice and water additionally are super ingredients. you additionally can attempt gatorade watered down somewhat. food isn't as significant. yet whilst she's hungry and soliciting for some thing, attempt minimizing the intake. If she needs a taco, permit her eat the shell without the filling. she will eat something as long as she will shop it down. attempt making some thing distinctive look particular. Like soup...have her bypass to the shop with you and %. out a childrens hen noodle soup that she needs. they have stars, alphabet, and princesses. Saltine crackers are stable in the process the flu. Intice her with a popsicle as an incentive. tell her that if she eats some bites of a few thing healthful, she will have a popsicle as a handle.

I know you said you have been giving her water, but the question is: Has it been cold water or warm water? Warm water usually will help. If you cannot get her to drink just plain warm water, try some warm tea (preferably green tea). This should help with her keeping it down, and it will help her sleep. Every time she awakes give her some more warm tea/water. The more sleep she gets the less she will vomit and the more she will hold down.

Sometimes the best thing to do is wait it out. If not sipping water try giving it with a large measuring syringe. I remember a doctor giving me this tip and saying they need 60mls of water per hour.Good luck. It will be over soon and your daughter will be back to normal.

Do you have Pedialyte or some other electrolyte balancing beverage available to you? That's what she needs. Try your best to keep her hydrated and indeed, if she'll fall asleep even for a few minutes it's benefitting her. It will be a long night for you however. Keep washing your hands so that you don't get it too. These things rarely last more than 24 hours. Good luck to you!

So what you're saying is.. you took your daughter to the hospital for vomiting, diarhea and not keeping anything down and they told you to bring her back home and let her sleep? If she can;t even keep liquids down, they should put her on fluids and observe her. Hun, I think you should bring her back.

Try Pedialyte liquid or the frozen pops. When my girls had this I used the liquid with ice in the bottle also. Don't try Gatorade. I thought it would be a good idea and my pediatrician said it contained too much sugar. Hope she feels better soon.

When this happens with my kids we give them Gatorade. Much less expensive than Pedialyte. They usually didn't keep it down long but as soon as it comes up put some more back in. Just keep hydrated is the most important. Good luck! That's no fun.

If you can get her to take Gastrolite you are doing well - it's bloody awful. All my kids stomach bugs were cured with yoghurt and cordial. There is apparently something in weak cordial that helps and yoghurt kills the bad germs.
