Apples are a good way (for me) to ward off the grumbles.
Low calories too.

Yes I believe eating conservatively as a rule, not an option.

I was 190 pounds after 2 kids. Every morning I would eat 1 peice of toast while waiting for my coffee, then I drink coffee all morning or water, while cleaning the house and getting things done(yes I'm a stay at home mom)It fills up my stomic and I don't feel hungry. When I make lunch for the kids I pick at a few things or make a little plate instead of a big plate of food. I try to take a walk once a day eather with the kids or after there sleeping at night. I'll take the dog around the block or something. I still snack of chips at night, but I cut out all candy bars, ice cream,ect...I have done this all summer and now I am 171 pounds! My stomic has shrunk and if I do it a big plate of food,I feel like **** for about an hour! I also take vitamins as I know I am not getting them. But I do also eat all the left over vegie's from dinner instead of putting them in the fridge. Oh ya..I forgot,I also cook the 4 food groups at every meal. Except breakfast. Yes it is important to stay healthy while losing weight as you need your energy to run after those kids. LOL

Everyone, regardless of age or gender, needs to watch what they eat to stay healthy & thin. I have a 28-month old and an 11-month-old, and I am back to my pre-baby weight (I'm 5'9" and 145 lbs). I eat only when I'm hungry, I eat a lot of veggies, and I eat one or two snacks a day so I'm not ravenous at meal time. It works : )

I eat when I want to and when I want to. If I would take it easy with the food, I know I would loose the pounds I need to.

Eat only when you are hungry and watch your caloric intake. And eat only healthy foods. It is SO simple
