She could have a medical problem if she stopped eating all of a sudden and her belly is distended. That is NOT normal.
Take her to a doctor ASAP!!!!

At her age a pot belly is very normal. Toddlers go through spurts of eating. Sometimes it seems that they are eating hardly anything for days on end and then they hit a growth spurt and your wondering were they are putting it all. As long as she is eating something, and is having normal bowel movements, I wouldn't worry. If she isn't eating anything, or stops having a movement, then it is time to call the doctor. Believe me, This is Normal!

She needs a checkup. ASAP. How are the BM"s. Is she in pain? Does she have any other problems? Is she tired, confused, responsive etc? This age is normal for a soft, round, slightly enlarged belly. It is also normal for cahnge in appetite. Get an exam at once to rule out any possible problems. Then consider finger foods to get activity with eating. Pieces of fruits, vegies, meat & cheese slices. Be sure fluid intake is adequate. Try posicles etc. Make it fun for her but integrate her needs and desires.

My daughter went through the same thing, it's totally normal. Like you said she'd rather be playing, I bet if you offered her sweets she'd soon take them?! My daughter is 2 now & she still has her pot belly, my 9 month of son has one aswell but his twin sister doesn't! If you are concerned then of course take her to the doctor or ask your health visitor.
Children go through growth spurts so if she's just had one maybe this could be the reason she's not interested in her food!

try changing her food brand and a wider variety. my daughter done this round about the same age and refused to eat anything but organic (i have no idea why but was glad for her to be eating again) if that doesn't work then id take her to the doctor as she may have some sort of food allergy eg. milk, wheat.

If the child isn't losing any weight and appears to look and act normal, then yes it is totally normal for them not to eat. They eat to grow and their bodies are slowing down the rate of growth. But, if you are noticing anything such as you see you should definitely go to the doctors. Never hesitate to ask your doctor.

Call your pediatrician ASAP so that they can make sure nothing is wrong with your little girl...other than that, I have no clue. I know that my neice and nephew are going through that stage of their life where they'd rather play than eat but we all still manage to get them to eat a bit before they take off...

I suggest you take her to the docs or talk to your health visitor. my daughter had some problems with food intolerances when she was younger but luckily she outgrew them, the distended stomach can, occasionally, be a sign of this.
I'm not saying it is for sure but its definitely worth asking a professional. the sooner you get something done the sooner you will hopefully get her eating again!

Sometimes baby put off from feed..its quite normal...and would not do any harm for one two days...but always trust your instinct..if your mind says theres something wrong visit your doctor straight away.... also seek advice from seniors...sometimes they are better than doctors....

I have never been through this, but I would recommend a trip to the doctors if you are worried.
