I took my son to his 4-year old check-up and shots. Now, what am concern about is that he isn't walking normal, but he says that he doesn't feel any pain. He had the shots on his legs, would that be the reason? or should i take him back to get him check again? Is this a side-effect from the shots? Somebody tell me something plzzzzz... thanx.

well if you have ever had a shot in the butt or leg, you would know how bad it really hurts for days after. It causes your muscles to strain and be painfull. He will work it out in a few days and will have forgotten about it. the only real thing you should watch for is a really bad fever. they should have given you a list of things to watch for, but walking funny is not one of them. good luck

My son did this too, then the next day he cried and said his leg really hurt, he didn't walk right for 4-5 days, and his leg became very swollen. It was just a bad reaction to the shot but after a few days he was OK. I would just watch him, if he gets worse, take him back.

If kids tighten their muscle when they're injecting the shot, it can cause bruising and a little soreness. Always give tylenol before you take them for immunizations, and repeat for the next day or two.

He probably just has sore legs. You can try calling the nurse at the doctors office and explain what is going on.

Shots HURT, so YEAH it's a "side effect". If something hurts YOU don't "favor" that part of you? If you bang your knee on something don't YOU walk kind of funny for awhile? Same theory applies here.

He is probably trying to act like a " Big Boy " And say it doesnt hurt. Or he just really doesnt feel pain. If he has shots in him, he should be fine.

did you just get the shots and di he just get the funny walk? it could be growing pains. or the site of the shot... But When he first gets a shot you should massage the area Sometimes it hurts but it works the medicine in and it isn't concentrated in that one area and also tylenol before shots.

His leg probably hurts a little. I believe those shots are given in the muscle, so his leg's probably a bit sore. Give him tylenol and see what happens. He's probably fine, but keep an eye on him.

It is most likely nothing to be concerned about, but never hesitate to call your son's pediatrician ANY time you have any concerns. That is what they are there for.

I know you don't want to be a "bother", but this is your child. Go ahead and call. I always did and never regretted doing so.
