Here is the thing mylicone is not absorbed into the blood stream, it enters the body as food or drink does & stays in the stomach to reduce gas, so I do not see a problem with it. Also it is completly safe to be given with each feeding. If you are uneasy call your local 24 hour pharmacy & talk w/ pharmist they will be more than happy to answer your question.

I would say don't give it to them (the 0.6). We would give our son 0.3 every 2 hrs. if needed.... and have gone through quite a bit of mylicon in the last 13 months. Now that he weighs more- I think there is a weight on there like 24 lbs to give the 0.6, then I wouldn't give her that dose... might nto be a good idea.

P.S. a tip on helping them- push her legs up on her stomach- like frog legs (so her knees touch her belly), this will help get some of the gas out! It really worked with our son when he was super gassy.

First make sure it is gas and not colic or GERD. If your child has either of those, as my did, the gas drops only make it worse. Colic is gas so giving a baby with gas drops will only make the colic symptoms worse and GERD, which is 9 times out of 10 misdiagnosed and passed off as colic, will have the same effect. You actaully have to have a milk scan done to tell if your child is colicky or has GERD since the symptoms are so similar.

My doctor said not to give mylicon because it doesn't work. He was right, there was no difference.

I advise you to speak with the doctor before giving a child ANY medication.

No- you can double up. The doctor at the ER told me that they can't overdose on it. They actually gave my daughter several dropperfuls before we left....
