I was at the park today and basically sat on a bench so I can watch my son play. He was having a good time getting excercise playing with the other kids and on the playground equipment. Another mom sat next to me and we watched our kids play.
Then it dawned on me, why can't city parks have stationary bikes? Of course they would have to be engineered to be idiot proofed. What do you think of this?
(yes I realize that we could always get a bike and ride it with the kid, but some people don't feel safe on a bike riding through the city)

I think its a great idea! Unfortunately, I think there might be troubles maintaining them (they're not usually exposed to the elements), and I'd think theft or vandalism might be a problem, as well.
