each cellular has DNA and that's consisted of two strands tightly woven around one yet another. the element that prevents the two strands from breaking aside is termed a telomeric cap (that's random nucleotide sequences called nonsense codons. Codon is a three series of nucleotides that codes for amino acids eg. CUU is a amino acid called proline . A nonsense codon is one that doesnt code for any amino acid production) every time your cells divide a small series is lost there by skill of reducing the soundness of the cellular's DNA (in layman's words). this might ultimately lead do maximum of Ur cells' DNA transforming into risky. and generally while a mistake occurs in DNA the cellular will carry out vehicle cytolysis (cellular suicide) to evade problems. So once you're previous maximum of ur cells telomeric caps would be low and that they are services to die while they attempt to divide.. Whats incredibly interesting approximately this concept is the effect it has on evolution (because of the fact this occurs on the two meiotic besides as mitotic divisions. meaning that a species grows previous too until now it mutates.. yet thats a different tale)

Do not panic.
He WILL be ok with out it. From the little you have said,
1. You breast feed - excellent!
2. He drinks plenty - excellent!
3. He eats like a horse - excellent!
Dairy products are found in other foods, cheese, yoghurts, etc. He is 11months old, and has plenty of time to experience a strawberry milkshake!!! Yum Yum.
Do not worry.

He has to have milk. It is essential for everyone, but especially for his age. Giving him chocolate milk is an excellent idea because they have vitamin mixes instead of all the sugar. You didn't say if you have him on regular milk yet or not, but breastfeeding him once a day isn't enough. It should be OK to go ahead and slowly introduce regular milk. Be sure to watch for allergies.

My daughter didn't like her milk could, so I was having to warm it a little before I gave it to her.

Good job on giving him water...keep it up and he won't have problems drinking it as a toddler.

try putting some flavouring in the milk, a luke warm chocolate milk, or there are straws that have flavouring in them, which flavour the milk as you suck the straw, or use nestle quik. These are some of the ways I got my children to start drinking milk, the warm milk I would ask if they wanted a warm choc milk with mummy (at bedtime), the rest was making milk fun to drink.

If you really can't get your baby to drink milk then you have to compensate with other dairy products. If your baby likes yoghurt then you could give him that, which is really good for them at their age. If you want him to have milk then you could get your toddler to help you make a smoothie.

Anything you want your kids to do that they don't like you have to make fun. IF they like something let them help you choose it when you buy it..then they feel involved in what they like

Dont worry if he is getting his calcuim in other ways he will be grand. Try introducing milk in other ways, dairy products, ice cream, in cereal. My boy who's 5 hasn't had milk since he was about 3 but they have now introducted it at school and he actually likes it now cause his friends are drinkin it.

he won't grow without it, at least not properly. after one year of age babies should be weaned from breast or bottle and formula and be drinking whole milk. it is important for their brain development and bone growth and teeth. gotta have it. put chocolate in it. they make vitamin packed chocolate mixes nowadays. he needs it soooooooooooooooo much you gotta make him drink it somehow. at 3 you should go to 1% or skim as a toddler no longer needs all the milk fat for brain development and it will go to the gut not the brain.

You know that how important is milk for him.
Perhaps he does n't like to be breast feed( The tase of your milk or the smell of your body)Give him milk powder. You have to try several brans to find our which one he likes.
If you do not live in a very hot country ,he drinks water because he is hungry .
Take care of him.Lack of milk will make serious damages to his body.

If he won't drink milk you can add calcium and vitamin D to his diet other ways. Read up on it and make sure he get enough or he will end up with weak bones and teeth.
