How can I stop him from bullying my daughter? Once a week my daughter spends time at my mother in laws for play time with her 2 cousins both boys, she just lets them play alone all day and my daughter has had a black eye and bruises from the eldest cousin, I have caught him many times striking her with toys or punching her in the face, strangling her or screaming in her face, if I see this behaviour I tell him he shouldnt be nasty to his cousin or anyone its not nice, but I seem to be the only one who cares or stops him from attacking her he does the same to his little brother and I dont want my daughter to learn bad behaviour from him, I believe he is not diciplined because his father passed away when he was two and since he has been spoilt and many excuses made for his behaviour he is out of control and I dont know how to aproach the problem i often too fall victim to feeling sorry for him but I refuse to tolerate my daughter being his punching bag.

Any Ideas?

2007-02-02 02:04:41 · 3 answers · asked by Sue Sue2 3

I have a 3 1/2 year old little girl, who doesn't talk much yet. That I need some ideas on how to get her potty trained, I am at my wits end, and have run out of ideas. Its like she doesn't understand what I am tring to get her to do. Her doctor has check her and said nothing is wrong, that it is just her, but these diapers are getting expensive and I just need some help, with potty training ideas. If someone out here has had the same problem please let me know what you did , and maybe I can finally get Liberty out of diapers and into panties.....Thanks so much

We just found out (by a blood test) that my son is "mildly" allergic to cats and peanuts....My first question is...what are some of the things I can give him? It seems as if all of his favorite foods have soybean oil or something in it....What if the nutrition facts dont say "May contain traces of peanuts" but the ingredients still say soybean oil? Does that mean anything? Ok...second question..my mom has a cat, she babysits twice a week....What should I do about this? My sister (who lives there) Refuses to get rid of the cat (I had a cat and got rid of it) she is super close to the cat (she's 5 years old..the cat) and she has a screaming fit everytime I even mention it....but everytime my son goes over there he breaks out in a horrible rash and itches everywhere....I cant have my son in pain, it breaks my heart....I dont know what to do!! Thank you for all your suggestions, and sorry if my wording is confusing...

He is 18 months old. He is very talkative and the pacifier doesn't appear to be affeting his speech at all. In fact he takes it out to talk. He really only uses it when he is tired or cranky. My dad keeps telling me that it's going to turn out bad in the end, but he seems to be progressing just fine. I think that it's a good security tool right now and I'd much rather him suck on that than his thumb. Everyone in my family has had strong "suck reflexes". I just want to know when is too old? If you are against pacifiers in general please don't answer this. I don't want to hear that giving it to him was wrong. I only started giving it to him because he was starting to suck his thumb. Me, my sister, and my cousin sucked our thumbs until we were 5 or over. I don't want that for him so I figured I'd give him something that could be taken away when the time is right.

hi, my son is only 17months old but he has mre energy than any of the other kids his age that he goes to daycare with, he doesn't have day naps, and he doesn't go to sleep until about 8.30 pm, during the day he tears around running, jumping, climbing and yelling screaming (not in a crying way just an excited i have heaps of energy to get out kind of way), at night he sleeps for a couple of hours before waking up to play for an hour then getting back to sleep, waking up etc until about 6am. he loves playing with older children around 2-4, because he can jump on them an play rough with them, he's not very nice to smaller babies or kids older than 4, and always snatches toys and screams and pulls hair pinches etc, we use timeout consistently but he just screams for the two minutes he's in there (been using the minute per year) and as soon as he's out he's off again, is it normal for this age or should i seek proffessional help?

She had terrible diarrhea on Monday. Then on Tuesday it seemed to go away but then she was vomiting. My husband came home from work Tuesday too, with the same thing. Yesterday she only vomited once but the diarrhea was back. But last night she was running around and playing and ate a good dinner. Sje got up this morning and ate breakfast. Had soup for lunch and for dinner she asked for soup also. And she was fine. She went to bed around 9PM and just woke up crying, about 20 minutes ago, and vomited all over her bed. I brought her out to the family room and she vomited again.

Since Monday I've spoken to the doctor 4 times and she says it's a virus and to give her Pedialite and make sure she doesn't have a fever ... which she doesn't.

My mom and my sister's 3 kids have this virus too. We're in central NJ ... it's going around. But I feel so bad for her. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make her feel better, besides hugs & kisses?

I am babysitting a 2 year old boy, who is very hyper, and wears diaper. The boy gets droped of at my house at 12:00 and gets picked up at about 12:30 am or even 1:00 am. So that is 12 hours straight that I take care of him I play with him feed him and bath him. I want to know what is a reasonable price to charge his mother for this amount of time. We had started at $8.00 but I think that that price is to high scince she would end up paying about $100.00 a night and I thought that that amount was to high can you give me some resonable prices that I can charge. No daycares in my area take care of children 12 hours 5 days a week and 1 day out of the week end.

My 13 month old daughter is still being rocked to sleep at night. She refuses to lay in her crib and fall asleep. She cries and cries until you get her up. It is even hard to try to rock her, she just wants to stay up, even when she is tired. Any suggestions on how I could help her go to sleep on her own? She has an older brother (2 1/2) and I know she is excited and wants to play, but how do I get her to go to sleep with less fight?

I've heard a lot of people say that it is. I'm guessing movies would be bad too. Anyways, how much is too much? My girls get to watch about an hour of tv a day (not all at once), and we have a movie night once a week where my girls, their father and I watch some type of disney movie. I just want to know if this is too much.
