my daughter is 2 and 1/2 and still drinks a bottle at night she never had a dummy so her bottle was her comforter rather than a dummy in her gob, although I do have rules now she is older she is not aloud to walk around with a bottle and she does not have a bottle during the day, yes I have stoped making one at night unless she asks for one which is most nights but becoming less frequent daily, I think 2yrs and on is the time to cut the bottle but I dont think the little boy has a problem having a bottle in the evening although he doesnt seem to have a choice and he definately wont stop the whole time his mum makes him one, the more it is encouraged the more he will get use to it then it may become a problem! But if he is a happy little boy then thats what really matters

No big deal. Let him. It's just a bottle that gives some emotional comfort if he needs a little more comfort. Fine. Not in bed too. That's very good.

Make him rise his mouth after milk to prevent decay. It works. Just 3 sips of water. That's all you need. The shape of teeth ... anyways, you'll have to go to Orthodontist later.

Don't stress. One day he will just forget about it naturally when you can't find the bottle. It happens when you travel and just tell him, you can't find it. He'll tough it out one night and realize he doesn't really need it.

Not good. This is very bad for their development. The bottle should be taken away once the have learned to drink from a sippy cup and are past the formula stage.

My little brother is 4 and drinks milk all through the night, with a sippy cup.
In your case, that's his mother's decision. All kids have something that calms them - maybe that's her son's method. It calms him and prepares him for sleep.
He will stop when he is good and ready.

My daughter took her bottle to bed until she was 3. She didn't always drink it, it was more of a security thing. It's no big deal. Why take it away and traumatize him? He'll give it up when he's ready.

his mom should get over it and realize he's not a 'baby' anymore. At least he doesn't take it into bed though.
