18 month olds do not eat as much as we think they should! Kids like things they can feed themselves. I try to make sure my 2 1/2 year old has finger food as well as food she can eat with a fork or spoon.

A good rule to remember is 1 tablespoon of any food for every year of their age. so for your 18 month old about 1 1/2 tablespoons.

Try feeding your toddler:

Mac and cheese about 1/4 cup
Fish Sticks 2 sticks
Manderine Oranges about 6 slices
Green Beans about 1 1/2 tablespoons.
Milk to drink

Pasta with a little bit of meat sauce ( not to be messy, just to add flavor and a bit of nutrients - tom. sauce is very good for them)

grated cheese on top ( just a bit)

Green beans

a 1/4 or 1/2 piece of buttered bread or toast (my toddlers like garlic bread)

I would just make this for your whole family and serve the toddler a smaller portion

Easy, quick, yummy and nutritious
Hope that helps,
