If it has any plastic on it wash it in cold, gentile cycle. If it is all cotton, I wash those in hot regular cycle. I had a mattress mat that covered the top of the mattress. It kept any accidents from getting to the actual mattress. It was cloth but had a bit of a rubbery feel to it. I washed it in hot and it was fine.

As soon as my children could walk and climb they slept in big beds! If i was you i would! YOur crib matress will fit on a toddler bed! All you need is sheets for it! Transition is tough and i have a some ideas for you that worked for me! Thr first night take a lil extra time putting them to bed! If they get out of bed no matter how angry or upset you get, Pick them back up with only saying good night love you and put them back! Good luck!

If you're not comfortable washing it or just aren't sure what to do ... you could always have it dry-cleaned. Most places around here offer same day service - like if you drop it off by 9 am it's ready by 4.

It should have the washing instructions on it. I wash mine in cool water on the knits/delicates setting. I put it on the low heat setting in the dryer.

it should have a tag the but if it comes offwash it your only concern should be drying is no bleach or any of that but when you dry it dry it on low or hang it out to dry anouther option is to spot clean it if it has a stain take a scrub brush and some warm water to it maybe even some detergent

If it has plastic on it then wash it in cold. Do not dry it.

Why wouldn't they be? That's pretty gross that you have never washed the matress cover.
