Help Please!!!!!! I am in dire need of a really good parenting book. I have an extremely stubborn, strong willed 3 year old and am at my wits end. I have tried time out, spanking and encouraging good behavior. If you can name it I have tried it. I don't know what to do anymore, I think she may be more stubborn and strong willed than me and I didn't think that possible until now. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a problem with this except, we were wanting to keep it small. I made reservations for 10 kids and 10 adults at Chuck E Cheese. But as I started making the list of friends and family, the list was a lot more than 20! So, I was thinking of having two separate parties, one for the friends and one at my mother-in-laws for the family. Is that crazy? It would be way to expensive to have everyone at Chuck E Cheese. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Thanks

Another school project. I really like ideas from you people because you are real people who know and most likely have experienced things with children and will give me real ideas.

My daughter is 2 years old and I am teaching her colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabets. I need a (free) website that can offer me a daily or weekly curriculum, activities, ideas, print outs, etc. so that she can be ahead/prepared for school when she turns 3.

My toddler is 22 months old and soon to be 2 years old. He is tearing up everything he can get his hands on and its driving me nuts. As soon as you turn your back, he's getting into something. He wasn't like this before but since he's approaching 2 years old, I noticed a change.

My son is turning 1 soon. Doctor said that he should be able to start drinking cow (whole) milk. However, my son doesn't like to drink anything cold. He likes it when it is luke-warm.

How should I heat up whole milk to luke-warm temperature without having to buy any special stuffs? Is it safe for him to drink luke warm milk? Is the nutritient value still good for him?

How long can the luke warm milk stay out without refrigeration? Can we reheat the luke warm milk if it turns cold or have been re-refrigerated?

My son only eats chicken nuggets, toast, fruit, waffles, yogurt, applesause and cereal with raisins. Can anyone tell me a couple recipes that include these but are part of the GFCF Diet? My son is getting worse in his behavior and I need to try something...but I’m a full-time worker plus mom. Maybe someone can email me...or just post your thoughts...Thank you!!!!

I'd like to know your experience when you started making your kid eat what you made. And how exactly did you do it and how did they react? My 3 year old doesn't like to eat much- no fruit (beside juice), rarely a veggie, no bread etc. So to offer something he likes at every meal is impossible.

My son is only 18 months, but we bought a potty and some big boy underware just so he can start familierizing himself with it. Any advice on making this trasition? He doesn't want to sit on the potty and cries if we put him on it. He also does his business in his underware and doesn't seem to mind the wet feeling of them when he's done. How do I teach him to know the feelings of having to go to the bathroom?

I had a quiet, shy and respectful 5 year old daughter until she started kindergarten. For about 4 months now she is disrespectful, backtalking and does alot of screaming when I correct her. She didn't act like this while she went to preschool. Before kindergarten I could correct her without all the noise and resistence. what is going on???????

Anybody else have this same problem? Is it kindergarten or just an age milestone for a 5 year old?

any help would be apppreciated!!!!! My hair is going gray fast.

My son started showing signs of seperation anxiety about 6 months ago and then it quickly ceased. Now at 21 months it has come back with a vengeance. He refuses to stay with his dad now (my husband) and whenever he gets home he violently shakes his head "no" then when he tries to play with him at night my son will scream and take the toys away from my hubby and yell "momma" over and over, now he wont go with my mom, and when I ask him if he want to go to the store or to pappy's or something that he used to enjoy so much he says no and gets a very worried look. I work 3 days per week and spend almost all of the other time with my son so its not like he doesnt get enoug attention and we have a very balanced normal home. He has a nice routine and there is no concern of abuse or anything of that nature, so is this a normal phase of children who live absolutely normal lives or should I be concerned about his dependency on me?

....actually started my child out in his own dark room in the bed by himself. My son slept in a cradle in my room for about a week. Then we moved him to his own room. We put him in his bed at nap time and bed time, cut out the lights, and walked out. We never had any problems with him sleeping through the night. Also we never put him down with a pacifier or a bottle. Am I the only one that did this? It seems like some parents on here have so many problems with their children demanding they sleep with them, etc..
