I think most kids are ready for full day at 5 yrs, but only you know your child. Remember, she will have nap time in the afternoon too and that will help her to cope with the full day. Several of my kids went full day and it worked out well. As a matter of fact, they napped when they were in school but not at home, go figure. It will also give her an idea about full day kindergarten too.

You may think it is to much for her but it seems like she really wants to go all day. Maybe you can talk to both of the preschools and see if she can go to the all day program for a week and see what she thinks about it and then you can make a decision from there on whether you should let her go full day or go back to her normal half day.

I thought it was national that at 5 they were in kindergarten. Any way, it depends on alot. Is she easy to get up and does she run down about half way through the day? Those are things to consider. It is tougher on the children. I know my daughter attended Kindergarten half day for part of the year and then full day part of the year and she did better with the half day. Let them build up to a full day. It's coming soon enough as it is.

Send her! She'll have a blast!
Just make sure you check out the facility first, and see how the teachers are and what they teach. I worked in a center at a church and it was extremely busy! They have a wonderful program and the cost is the cheapest in town.
I've been in bad centers before and believe me, you don't want to send your child there.
Check your local school system, as well. They usually have a pre-k program, but it is mostly according to income.
Good luck!! =)

She's probably ready for it. Since she's already been going there 1/2 time, she won't have to get used to a completely new environment. Next year when she goes to Kindergarten she'll be ahead of the game. If you want to do it, go for it!

i wish we had all day kindergarten here, my daughter had all day preschool and then had to move to a half day kindergarten, it seemed like nothing but a waste of time. Only you can know if it is too much for your daughter.
EDIT: oops you said preschool...silly me...sorry i misread.

It really depends on the child and the development of the child, but if she wants to go, give it a chance, sounds like shes intelligent enough to manage it.

If your daughter wants to go, then maybe you should let her try it out. It won't be too long before she's in kindergarten all day anyway.
