THESE PEOPLE ON HERE!!! I swear, do not listen to the ones that say "be a better mom" if you were a bad mom would you really be spending your time on here asking a concerned question about your child NO, you would be out smoking pot or getting drunk somewhere while your kids stays at a sitter!!!! JEEZ. they make me so mad, ok so anyways, my son is doing the exact thing except I am the only one allowed around him and his dad is not even allowed in the same room. I think its a phase thing and I think my son feels threatened about all the attention he wont be receiveing when my husband gets home from work. Like all the other phases I have ensured myself that this too shall pass. Try having mommy time with him alone, you 2 could go to the mall or playground or something if your weather permits you to. Be patient if it doesnt change then consult your DR.
Good Luck (I know your a good mom)

It's hard to give advice when I have no idea what kind of home environment he lives in.
Does he witness a male figure being aggressive with you?...(hitting, shouting, throwing things or slamming doors)
....or....Do you show aggression toward the males of the family?
Once we answer that...we can start resolving this.
Thanks for the added info....
Easy...it's a stage......also....You're the one that disciplines the most, are'nt you?....keep trying, do your best........he knows who loves him.

are you pregnant? i noticed my oldest son did that for a period of time when i was pregnant. to him it was a 'change' he wasn't understanding. and it made him anxious. but other than that he is probably not seeing your husband and older son "love on " you as much as he should. my husband at the time would kiss me and hug me and tell our son "see i looove momma" and then my son would come running into my arms. also it was a phase, he's 8 now and is such a cuddly bear. but REFRAIN from using words like"dont you like momma?" "how come you dont love momma anymore?" this is NOT about love or like, so dont put the idea in his head, it will make it worst. good luck!

How are you treated by your husband and older child? This sounds very odd to me. At 18 months, you should be the central person in his life.

nicely if he does those issues to you returned then i could tell him which you will positioned him in timeout. if that deosn't artwork deliver the dad in the room and or brother and get them to distract him. if that would not artwork tell him that daddy won't play with him if he would not try this or that. i'm hoping this works for you. stable success! :D

as a boy he is just trying to relate to the men in the family and you don't fit the bill. it is the same with girls at that age. i bet that when your 18 month old gets hurt or sick then he will come to you to make it all better.

Children, especially toddlers go through stages where they are attached to the mother or father.
