About a week before I brought her to the doctor she starting waking up at night crying, and when I went in there to see what was wrong, she would be sleeping again. I brought her to the doctor on Sunday and she has strep throat. Since I started giving her the medicine her snoring has become VERY loud, and she keeps waking up crying, but doesnt remember it in the moring. Can anyone help? I talked to the doctor about it, and he didnt really say much...just to monitor it. That doesnt really help me.

Snoring, crying/talking, walking in sleep are all from anything that does'nt allow a person to rest deeply.
This could be aggravation from strep, enlarged tonsils, phlegm buildup or the medicine (acting as a stimulant).

My daughter walked in her sleep like crazy. I'd just lay her back down until the night she went missing! (Freaked me out)
She unlocked a deadbolt and another lock, then went outside where I found her, still sleeping, just standing there.
I talked with doctors in the field and had her seen. Her tonsils were large (no infection) and they said it disturbs sleep.
She don't sleepwalk anymore since having them out.

She's probably got mucus going down the back of her throat. My advice is to get a humidifier and put it in her room -- maybe it will keep the mucus thin enough to not bother her so much. Also, this might help with her thirst -- I've got strep right now and am so thirsty that I can't sleep for more than about a half hour at a time -- I wake up so dry I can't swallow. I've got two water bottles by my bed.

It could simply be that the medicine the doctor has prescribed makes her sleep very deeply and because it is a drug it might be giving her mild nightmares. Your doctor was right, because there isn't much to do until she is off the medicine altogether, then keep tabs on her sleeping, the nightmares will probably cease after a couple of "undrugged" sleep if not then you go back to doctor...I know when I'm on certain medications I have strange dreams as well.

Humidifier and elevate her bed.

Stick some books under the legs at the head of the bed. You want about 10-15 degrees.
