She is 2 and half. I took her to the doctor this morning and they did not notice anything just by looking at her. They tested her urine and said she did not have a urinary tract infrection. She is sill in diapers and not yet potty trained. They have given her a cream to use for a yeast infection.
She complains about the area hurting off and on during the day, but at night she refuses to sit down in the bathtub. Could the soaps be irriating her. Any suggestion.

Just last night, I was scared that I might be ask to explain something that I am not ready to and scare my son with my answer if I am going to be honest.
My four year-old son is asking about ages. How old I am, my husband, my mother. He asked if my mother is in her twenties and I said that no, she's older than twenty. That she's already near fifty. And he asked me if she's going to die soon. I was shocked to hear that but thankfully he asked about nothing else when I said no.
Does your kids know about death already? How did you explain it to them or what will you do if they ask about it. I wouldn't want to scare my son. What would you do if the situation comes when you're asked about death?

I'm a stay at home mom to a 14 month old, now that he is walking and getting into everything I feel like I am constantly cleaning my house and not spending as much time as I used to with him. He is on a schedule for naps and bedtime, I do alot of housework when he goes down for his nap, after we get baths done, get my son in the bed, the house is in such a mess, AGAIN. Once my son is in the bed, I just want some time for myself. Has any other stay at home moms dealt with this and could you also tell me how your day usually goes and do you do your chores at the same time everyday(housecleaning and errands)? What are some tips on keeping the house clean once I have cleaned it, it never seems to stay cleaned for an hour after I have just cleaned it?

I've already made the invitations for my son's 2nd birthday and completely forgot to add something about lunch being served and really have no room (did them on the computer) and don't want to remake them (I had to order the invitations). Is this a necessary thing to include on the invitation? The birthday party is from 11-1 so I'm hoping people will know I'm serving lunch. I also thought about sending an email out a week or two before the party to tell everyone I forgot to include this on the invitation and that lunch will be served. I'm hoping this will also remind people to RSVP who didn't.

Thanks in advance!

To start, sorry if this is TMI for some of you... My 15 month old daughter has gotten into the habit of peeing when I take her diaper off before I put her in the bathtub, each and every time, so I now hurry up and get her in the water... right? And when I say "Honey, did you just pee on the floor?" she nods!! She doesn't pee while we're changing her diaper... But now when my husband or I go into the bathroom and start to "go", she'll run in and wants to know what's going on. Today I said, "Yes, mommy is going tinkle"... (who knew I'd ever talk like that!) and she said "Tinkle!" She doesn't run in like this if we are doing anything else in there, it's just when she hears someone going... So to get to my question... what's going on? Is this just normal toddler curiosity, or could she be in the very early stages of potty training? I wouldn't have expected anything potty training related for practically another year, so I don't know what to think of this... any advice?

I had her potty-trained with no problems until about a month or so ago. She has been having 4 or 5 accidents a day. I have tried time-outs, taking toys, potty charts and small rewards and nothing seems to work. What can I do? I'm frustrated and need HELP please!!!!

My husband, stepson (4years old) and I are overweight. We're exercising more. We would like to eat more healthy foods.

Questions
1. Is two glasses of juice, milk, Iced tea per meal too much? Should we only have 1 glass of juice/milk/Ice tea and then drink water if still thirsty?
2. Candy, cookies and chips are bad. Is it okay to put them in a kid's lunch? If yes, then do I not allow them to be eaten at home for a snack or part of meal? Do I just eliminate them totally? If I eliminate them in lunches, then what do I put in the lunch instead?
3. When we go to restaurants my son orders off the kids' menus. On the menus they offer pizza, mac and cheese, hamburgers and etc. As an adult I wouldn't eat those things, but are they okay for kids?

My wife homeschools our 6 year old and she has always been well above average, but now she wants to start something more formal with our 4 year old and we just want to prepare her better for the comming years. She is smart, but not quite the fast learner that her older sister was at her age.

I am a stay at home Mom that also works part time. I have PPD and tend to shop, shop, shop to fill the void as I don't know what else to do with my daughter. OK...we've been to the park a few times. I feel too drained mornings to get up (I work until 1:00a.m.) and take her to play group even though I know that it would be good for her, so instead I buy her whatever she wants. Is this bad?

just curious what others thought. most docs say at one they can. but our infant formula is on the list for a potential recall and i was thinking of just going ahead and switching him. everyone in the family eats 100% organic all the time, as does he except for his formula. so the milk he would be getting is ultra-pasteurized vitamin D whole organic milk, made without growth hormones, anti-biotics, and to only grain-fed cattle. at this time, he eats lots of organic dairy, including yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese.. and has had no problems so far. thanks in advance!

I live in an apartment. My nextdoor neighbor has a daughter, 1 1/2 ish. Her chosen method of communication is to scream 24/7. I'm listening to her now. It goes from high pitched barking sounds to straight up screaming. My husband called the police at 2:00am once because he thought she was being abused. I've talked to her and she says her other two children did the same thing. I can't take it any longer I am tense right now and that is my normal state when I am home because of this girl. I don't want to make an enemy but my sanity is at stake HELP!!!

I am babysitting a 2 year old mexican kid and he keeps crying for something that sounds like "deeta" or "teeta". I have tried searching online to try to find out what he could possibly be talking about!

I think it's something to drink. I gave him milk and he won't drink it. He started crying for "deeta" or "teeta". So I gave him water, he threw his cup on the floor. That's all I have to drink! His mother told me that he drinks ANYTHING, but apparently that's NOT true!

He's been crying non-stop for the past hour and a half.

What should I do?

Is there anyone mexican or spanish out there that can help me! His mom doesn't get off until 5:00, that's 5 and a half hours from now!

I'm STRESSED!

She will sit by her older sister and pull on her hair, when she wakes up in the morning and I'm laying there she'll grab something and wack me on the head. She will push other kids and try and yank them around. We are very gentle with her and not sure where she is learning this type of thing. Her cousin age 3 was at our house crying for her mom and my daughter tried to bite her and was yanking on her shirt. Not sure how to disipline her at this age, saying no, no and removing her doesn't work to well. She'll just start throwing a fit. Is this normal behavior for a child of this age? My first daughter did nothing of the sort.
