when i do my kids partys i always put a little insert in the invitation with my email address and a note that says something along the lines of please make sure to notify me of any food allergies or concerns when you RSVP to assist with menu planning. that way they KNOW your serving food, and you also know who can and cant eat what

Most people will assume that a party from 11-1 will include a meal. There is no need to add this to the invite. I wouldn't ask for RSVP just plan a simple meal (hotdogs/hamburgers/pizza) and make sure you have enough for each person you invited. Hamburgers and hotdogs are the easiest. You would count 1 hamburger and 1 hotdog for each person you invited. You can buy extra hotdogs incase you run low on burgers, it only takes a few minutes to make more.
Most of our parties have included hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, dip, ice cream, something to drink (canned drinks or prepackaged juices in a cooler eliminate the need for someone to fix cups of ice and is a lot less mess) and of course cake.

Hi you would think between 11-1 lunch or nibbles would be served. If ppl dont think they will its not like they r gunna not come! they might just think they will get lunch at 1 on the way home but then get a nice suprise when some is served. If u really want to just tell ppl when they rsvp

Yes you can safely assume that the ppl will know that lunch will be served as the party is during that time frame...11-1~ Also that is a good idea to email these ppl you invited and who havn't rsvp'd yet..and perhaps ask if anyone is allergic to anything as you'll be serving lunch..Have Fun*

I think that it is fine not to put "lunch will be served"
your right it is almost implied
when people RSVP I would ask them if there is anything that their child can not have, same thing in the email

Emails are good, or the insert idea is good. My first thought was that you might want to tell them so they don't load up before coming to the party and not be hungry when they get there, but with an 11-1 time frame, it is kind-of obvious. (I would think, anyway)

Just make an insert a card or piece of paper with this information on it and make it all fancy, and put it inside the card. Just say something like, "lunch will be served, so please come enjoy the foods and festivities." That is what I would do, that way you don't have to reprint them, entirely and waste all that paper and those precious trees.

Usually the time of the party tells all. If it's from 11-1 ppl should know.

It should be obvious, but some people are not that quick. I would just add a little insert into the envelope. Maybe you could give them an idea of the menu. That way if any of the kids have allergies or are super picky, their parents can bring their own snacks.
