What worked for us was a flick to the cheek. Not so hard as to leave a welt, but enough to get his attention.

First of all stop biting your child. This teaches him nothing. I used soap. When he bites you take him to the bathroom, put a little water on your fingers and rub it on the soap (you don't need too much, no suds just a taste), open his mouth and put the soap on his tongue. Does this everytime he bites you and make him sit in a chair for a couple minutes so he can get the full flavor. If he decides he likes the taste of the soap try a different soap. Obviously nothing with a harsh chemical but a bath soap should do the trick. I used it twice and my daughter never bit me again.
Make sure to tell him that biting is not nice and that you do not like it.
Good luck.

When biting doesn't work you need to up the ante. The general progression goes, slapping, biting, picking up and smacking against a wall, drop kicking, stabbing, and finally microwaving. Just slowly progress up the chain if biting continues.

Well, you should probably hand over your kid to child services, because eating your kids is bad, mmmkay? kids need to bite, it's how they show that they are hungry, so if you see it biting something give it a sammich or something, or breast feed it. Kids will just stop biting on their own once they mature enough to realize they can just hit you to get what they want.

you should never bite back.. this is showing that its okay.. even if it did hurt him, you cant tell him no bitting and then bite him to show it hurts. try time out/ alone time..and tell him we dont bite.. it hurts. if he realizes how upset it makes you ( you have to act sad) he might stop.. at 2 this is normally a phase.

a friend of mines, told me that in order to get his son to stop bitting him he would put hot sauce, or lemon juice in the area that he continues to bite you, he said that it worked for him so maybe you should give it a try!

Ummm first, stop biting your child....
You could do a couple of things. when he bites fill his mouth with nasty stuff he doesnt like.... soap is not a good idea in my book... but a dab of hot sauce on his tongue, or something gross like that might work...
You could always give him a chew toy and say if he wants to bite like a puppy, then he can bite on puppy toys... sounds stupid but I have seen it work...

You have to find something he really likes and deprive him of it every time he bites (a game, a favorite snack, a favorite TV show, etc.)

put something either hot or nasty in his mouth when he bites. biting him back is just going to confuse him bc he won't understand why its okay for you to bite and not him, especially if he thinks ur playing.
