it's fine for a highschooler (unless you're very conservative). it may be okay for some middle schoolers, depending on your family. i wouldn't take an elementary age kid because of themes of drug use, hiv, etc.

Well, if you want your kid's first exposure to musical theatre to be crap, I guess it's appropriate.

Some of the content is adult but not in the way of curse words, more just adult topics (IE dealing with HIV). It all depends on her age. She will probably get VERY bored and not pay much attention to it anyhow. Here's a synopsis on it (the play should be 3-4 hours long)
