My only suggestion is that you shouldnt try to plan many games. One year olds dont play them anyways, and it is "all about me". Try having coloring, and things that your daughter likes to do at her party. That would be a fun theme! Good luck! And dont stress, she wont ever remember it anyways!

I would never give my opinion on this unless asked, but I have to say that I don't like the theme. I have two small children, and whatever I do with them, teach them, or allow them to do, I consider "What will this look like in 10, 15 years?" To do a theme of "All About Me," in my opinion, fosters self-centeredness. What will that look like in the teen years? Personally, I would choose a character that she likes and focus on that. We did a very fun party for my 2 year old boy based on the Elmo them; and although I did small things to personalize the party, such as including a photo of him driving his little toy car 'to Sesame Street' on his invitation, we spent more energy and money trying to make the party fun for the little guests than to put on a show about our son. He got lots of 'spotlight' just being the birthday boy, sitting at the head of the table, opening the presents, etc. If you're into making slideshows, scrapbooks, etc., then do them and put them into her memory box. Show them after the party to the grandparents. Most people aren't going to be that interested - particularly the small children that will probably be there. But that's just my opinion. That's worth about, ohhhhhh, 2 points.

Invites: you could create a photo invite it gets printed like a photo but on it you have a photo of your little girl and all the info where, when how etc.. I've done this myself using photoshop then getting them printed at a photo lab.
Thankyou gifts: I took photo's of my little girl playing with/reading/wearing her present and sent them to the person who gave them that gift with a thankyou note similar to the invite. Guests loved it, seeing their present being loved and enjoyed.
Decorations: Her favourite colour, in streamers and balloons.
Cake: You could go to a cake place with a photo of your little girl and they can print it on edible paper and put it on to any sort of cake whether it be a cream sponge or mudcake.
Hope it helps, what ever you do food wise make it simple for you, you want to enjoy the day not spend it in kitchen head down bum up..

well don't go to over the top, remember she is still a baby and won't remember it and really won't enjoy it until about 2. so make the games appropriate for the parents. I'm not real sure on ideas about prizes I guess you can give stuff to the kids like blocks, books etc... or something for the parents, something that they will enjoy. the theme is good, but try to make it enjoyable for everyone.

Make her invitations on your computer with her picture on it. Make her a personalized children's book about her life (I did that for my grandkids ages 1,2 and 9 and each one loved it).
Decorations can be made with her picture. Well, you get the idea. All of this can be done with the computer, some glue, glitter, and shiny streamers.

If your daughter is only one year old, why are you concerned about having birthday party? This is more about you than your child. Forget having a party until your daughter is three years old. Spend your time and money on something more important.
