7:30. Turn on some soft music and lay next to her in the dark until she falls asleep. If she talks to her tell her "Time to go to sleep we can talk in the morning" by doing this over and over they soon give up and fall asleep.

When my kids were about 6 months old, I started them on a bedtime. 8PM. They didn't always want to go. I would start getting them to calm down about an hour before. First a bath, then a snack and a 1/2 program that didn't have a lot of stimulation but was interesting for them to watch while having their snack. At 8pm I would put them to bed and read them a story. I told my kids they didn't have to go to sleep, but they had to get into bed. This worked so well that they never changed their bedtime until they were all around 16. Then one by one they would stay up a little later. I am not big on routine, but bedtime needs to be the same every night (with exceptions) even weekends. Parents need time to them selves in the evening also. IF your Aunt is open to the suggestion, have her do this at home, so when she is at your house, you can do the same thing. Good Luck and God Bless

Turn off the t.v, turn off the lights, lay down with her, make everything boring, don't make it seem fun to be awake at all.
works like a charm with my 2 year old

Did she get a nap in? Sometimes when a child is over-tired it is harder for them to fall asleep. Tell her she has to stay in bed and give her some books to look at with a soft light on. Most likely the quiet activity will lull her to sleep within minutes.

my son doesn't really have a set bedtime, he usually will fall asleep around 10-11 pm. but he naps threw out the day. try a warm bath and/or warm milk, usually knocks my son out. or just tire her out play a game of tag before a bath.
good luck

Right now i dont really have my daughter on a complete sleeping schedual but she starts school in august and will be then. I think you should lay in bed with her and pretend you are sleeping and tell ehr she has to lay down and go to bed now. That always worked for me before but usually my pretending made me fall asleep too!! LOL!! Soo goodluck just be in charge and tell her its night night time
