Read the label on the bottle to see what the warning message says about the product. If they warn that the contents may injur your child then follow their guidelines. I have not heard the deoderant applied to the underarm is harmful to a child unless there is a large amount of alcohol in it, in which case it would hurt an adult too!

There may be a skin sensitivity, so keep an eye out for a rash, but he should be fine. You only NEED deoderant if your sweat smells, and a 4 year old won't have smelly sweat, no matter how often you apply deoderant to him.

I don't believe so if it was a one time thing. I've smelt children as young as five that need it, even after a good scrubbing. My ex's son needed it when he was about 8 yrs. old. Just tell your sister not to do it again.

I never heard that it was bad for kids...doesn't mean that its not. I let my boys 2 and 4put some on sometimes cuz its make them feel like big boys. We have had no problems. I wouldn't worry to much just watch it if anything he could get a rash.

I don't think that is true. I think your child will be fine. Maybe just tell your sister not to do that again, since your 4 year old is too young to have b.o.
