Let her celebrate her birthday at Chuck E Cheese like she wants. Then have a BBQ with family "just because." It is Spring, you know.

Make sure there will be some other children for her to play with during the party. Either cousins or perhaps a couple of friends. Have some party games lined up. if you REALLY want to go all out you could definitely rent a bounce house or an entertainer of some sort. In Washington we have a guy called the "reptile man" and he comes to kids parties with big turtles and things like that and puts on a little show. Probably a bit over the top for a four year old however :)

Ask your daughter what she likes most about chuck e cheese. Is it the pizza or the toys/games or the costume characters? Then find a way to incorporate those things into your event at your house.
If it's pizza, then order some pizza.
If it's the games/toys...see about renting one of those inflatable bouncy things or some other fun stuff like that (lots of party rental places now have these).
What could be better than having your favorite part of chuck e cheese at your own house?

Tell her that going to Chuck E Cheese is not a option. You are the parent, and you can set the limits. It's Spring, the kids should be outside playing anyhow. Buy a bunch of big bubble kits, they always go over well.

HI there I am sure she will love her party if you have it at home. I have a 5 year old who wanted his bday at Maccas. We ahd a family BBQ. Just allow your daughter to help with the planning process. What colour plated she would like. Wow look at this oh you could have this at your party. You cant have that at chucky cheese!!!! DO you want fairy bread etc. Get some helium balloons. Have a theme where she can wear a special outfit. Just keep emphasising how boring chucky cheese will be and how exciting her party will be. After all, you are the parent.......

Sounds great to me! You can have music and balloons and water balloons and lots of finger foods.
Maybe have someone do face-painting, and have some of the older kids run the games and give out prizes.
Have a dress-up competition, or have the kids put on a play.
Rent or buy a karaoke machine.
How about a bounce house?

Depending on when her birthday is, I would go ahead and have it at your house. Have a cookout, simple hotdogs and Hamburgers and if the whethre allows it, get the limbo sprinkler it s really cute and just set of activities outside. The kids will love to run around outside all day. Teach them to play Duck Duck Goose, Hide and seek, Simon Says...etc. That way parents and kids get to have fun.

Invite everyone over and make it a surprise party. She will be so surprised when she sees all of her presents when she isn't excpecting them that she will forget about Chuck E Cheese
