In particular, I would be creating a website (with my own domain name/host) that would contain photos, bios, interviews, videos, and links regarding my friend's band who was just signed by Interscope Records.

I tried the whole myspace/xanga thing before, and yeah, that didn't exactly work. My parents knew about all of those cases involving child molesters and what not, so I am completely done with that.

But keeping in mind that that is where their concerns are coming from, what would be your rules as to what I could include/do with this website? Thus far, I have these rules, which were established as general internet rules after the myspace scenario:

Do not talk badly about your parents, family, or life
Do not swear
Do not post any thing obscene
Do not post any personal information
Do not post e-mail addresses or contact forms
Do not post about breaking the law or any rules

As a parent, what other concerns would you have?

I do not believe in spanking.

But a question for those of you that do.

Why is it considered inapproapraite to spank a child over a curtain age and under a curtian age, and not at all ages?

Also why is it considered more inapproapriate for a teacher to spank than a mother when it is indifferent (maybe even worse if you mother does it because you trust her more).

I find this is really really bizzare,

WELL...I was out @ lunch, and I was in the womens restroom and this woman brought in her son that must have been eight....In my opinion this is waay to old for that. I found it strange.. i realize that moms do it when their sons are young, and cant wait outside by themselves, My sister in law does this with my nephew but hesonly a year old. but isnt it inappropriate to have an 8 or nine year old in the womans restroom?...I was just wondering.

My boyfriend and I have not been together long at all, only 8 months and I am 5 months pregnant. At first he would talk about the baby, now he doesnt at all. Last week I started feeling the baby move and I got a big smile on my face. He asked me why I was smiling and I told him I can feel the baby move now, all he said was "oh" and turned his head. A few days later I asked him why he only said oh and he said hes not excited about anything right now, and that its new to me so I would be (he has a son already). I feel like since he has a son and this pregnancy was unplanned, and hes unhappy w/ this pregnancy he wont treat this baby like he should, and he will pick favorites (his son), which will involve him treating this baby unequally. Im wondering if I should leave him because of this? I dont want my baby feeling unloved by its father. Is this a bad situation for the baby? I feel like when the baby comes it will just cause more problems in his eyes. I need help w/ what I should do?

My husband and I already have 2 children. My daughter is 4 with a birthday in May, and my son just turned 3. We are finally out of diapers; we are able to go places without too much hastle, and our daughter will be going to kindergarten full time next year. I have always dreamed of having 3 or 4 children, but now that we have 2 that are no longer babies, I am just not sure if I want to go through all of that again.

The baby stage was very difficult. I am a teacher and my husband also works full time. I do believe that part of the difficulty was that my kids are only 20 months apart in age. I keep going back and forth on whether to have another one. I think that because my other 2 are getting older, they will be a little bit of a help.

In my heart I would love to have another child, but my brain says that I might not be able to handle 3 kids and my career. How do I make my decision? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

We all know that some parents have no choice but to work full-time. However, in some two-parent families, it is usually not absolutely necessary for both parents to be doing so.

Since time went ahead will it be lighter in the morning earlier or later. For example, before day light savings, when I woke up at 6:30 am it was still dark out. Since day light savings, when I wake up at 6:30am will it be dark or light out?

I have just read a question from a child about bullying, they seem to be saying that parents will not let them play without playing the bullying card all the time.I have four children aged from 7 to 13 and they have never been bullied, yes at times they have been sad about a lack of respect or wary of aggressive individuals but so what, that is what happens when you live in a diverse society.I am pleased to say that all of my children are well rounded, with a good social sense of justice.

I think many parents are now bullying children through the over use of this phrase, what do you think?

My partner doesn't ever want to father children and I'm not sure if I am trying to convince myself that I don't want them either just to keep our relationship going, or if I really don't want them.

He's 6 now and he's very perceptive. He knows it takes a mommy and a daddy to makes a baby, but he doesn't understand how. He knows the word sex from our wonderful new TV shows. I don't think he knows what the word means. I'm thinking 10 would be the prime age for a kid to start getting a real education about it. Is that too early?

My kids often tend to talk back when instructed about something. How do I get it across to them that respecting elders is very important, I have tried talking calmly to make them understand. Have also tried being strict. What can be done? How do I dicipline them and encourage them to grow into well mannered individuals? Please Help!

Also please suggest any method to control my temper and deal patiently in a difficult situation!
Thank you.

I've tried explaining the benefits and also the carrot and stick policy, but it all has only a momentary effect. What can I do to encourage them in maintaining the habit?

He's never really been fussy like this before? We are staying with my in-laws for a few weeks while my husbands gone training for a new job, I'm stressed and I know that can affect the baby too. But, there's no other symptoms except a lot more fussiness throughout the day, and the things I can usually do to console him don't work as well. One minute he'll be fine and smiling and kicking around the next he's starts crying, like that coughing type crying? Do babies have fussy periods even when they didn't during the normal "colicky period"????Thanks 1st baby!
