Thank you everyone for your suggestions. He is finally asleep! We cuddled for a bit and I cracked his window open for some fresh air. I think I need to get a cool air humidifier as well, I only have the warm. I will call the Doctor in the morning. My poor baby, he hardly ever gets sick.

This is the worse thing about being a parent. In this case, I would just hold him, and rub his back. Do something soothing to get him some sleep, like rock him. You've done everything else, I wish there was a magic cure but there isn't. Looks like it may be a late night, but you're doing a great job so far!

Personally, I stick to the dosing recommendations unless my doctor says otherwise. I would much rather take his advice in giving my child more medication over some stranger's advice.
That being said... if you've laid him down flat to sleep, it could be aggravating his condition. When my little ones are sick like this I'll get comfy on the couch and let them sleep in my chest. Between the warmth of your body against his (which can help loosen up any congestion that has gotten to his chest), the angle he'll be sleeping at (the congestion can impede his breathing if he's laying down flat, which will make him cough more) and simply having Mommy holding him (Mommy magic usually serves to make our little ones feel a bit better) he might actually get some decent sleep tonight.
I would recommend, though, calling your pediatrician as soon as you can. Don't worry about it being the weekend. Every doctor I've ever encountered has had an emergency number. They may be able to call something in to a pharmacy or recommend something that you can pick up yourself to give to him until you can get him into the office.
Good luck and I hope your little one feels better soon!

Sounds like you need to switch cough medicines. I know with my 3 I had to do that sometimes when they were sick. Get one that is specifically for cough and runny nose. I know Triminic makes it cause I use it for my kids. Also, when he lays down, try to prop him up a little. So he's sleeping on like an incline. It will keep him from coughing as much. If the humidifier isn't working, then neither will running the shower or anything like that.

It sounds like you should maybe take him to a Walk-In clinic if you haven't already. He may need medication, prescription strength cough medicine or anti-biotic depending on what's causing his illness. You can also alternate infant Advil (ibuprofen) with the Tylenol. Check with a phone-call to a licensed pharmacist before you give him any medication. Good luck. I hope he is better again soon.

Prepare for a rough night...go to the bathroom, grab the remote, then get comfortable sitting up, and let him sleep on you with hishead on your shoulder. The elevated head should help it drain.
I'd consider calling his doctor.

Try playing some soothing music, or rock him and sing to him. I would suggest taking him to the doctor if this keeps up for medicine to help him sleep.

You have done every thing I can think of. Keep his head elevated (like 30 degrees) so he's not lying flat (for drainage). That might help the cough. It helps me.

Turn the shower on so that the bath room steams up and sit in there with him. Or call Walgreens or CVS and ask the Pharmacist.

I would highly suggest that you take him to the doctor immediately. He could have the flu or something more serious. Does he also have a fever? If so, then you should definitely take him to the doctor. I wish him well.
