then i must be the most rotten mom on the face of the earth, my daughter was running outside yesterday on our walk and skinned both knees, an elbow and the palm of her hand. While I felt terrible that she hurt herself it doesn;t make me or you a bad mom, it means our kids were excited and fell down. My daughter is 3 1/2 by the way. This was the first nice day in months and we were able to head out for an actual walk without jackets, she was ecstatic.

You are in no way a bad mom. Every child will get hurt at some time in their life. My son just fell out side last week like 4 or 5 times in 1 day. He skinned his knee pretty bad, we had to bandage it, not just a bandaid, but a big telfa bandage. He is fine now, that is the amazing things about kids they are very resiliant. You are not a bad mom, don't ge beating yourself up. All kids love to play outside, mine can't stay in the house, they love it outdoors, it is very good for them. You should let your little oune play outside and enjoy it with her. You are very luck to have this gift from God, enjoy every minute you can with her.
Good Luck.

You r not a bad mother things will happen kids will be kids, they get hurt and you comfort them and clean up the wound and make them happy. Just make sure that where your child plays is a safe place to play like, you dont want your child to play where there is broken class. A play ground or your home would would be the best place for your child. Even in your own house your child can get hurt but you cant help some of those accidents. Best thing to do is make sure your being the best mother YOU can be. listen to your advice and others to.

Your mom is a bad mom. ( I don't mean that in a mean form, but that is just ridiculous, I am sure she is not a bad mom) If children are not allowed to play outside and get out their energy, they misbehave more, they tend to develop growth problems, their little muscles and bones don't develop properly, and they can become obese. Toddlers should have a minimum of 2 hours a day of exercise outside. Running, jumping and climbing to develop skills and balance. Fresh air and sunshine and to use up all that energy. All three of my boys have fallen outside and sometimes had to go to the hospital for stiches and such. At first I was scared, now it is just everyday stuff. Children fall, part of life. You need to make sure you little girl is outside and skinning her little knees every single day.

You're not a bad mum! You should let your kid play outside! Bumps and bruises happen, its part of childhood. You're the mum now make your own rules and your mum can butt out. You may have to stand up to her, and that is also a part of being a mum. Playing outside helps your kid grow and develop properly, as does learning how not to get a boo-boo. Your mum is wrong on this one.

no you are not a bad mom. at first I would be very hurt when my children hurt themselves, thinking that I was a bad mother. Things are going to happen as long as you are watching her. I would suggest letting her play in the grass or if she is prone to falling then put knee pads on her. My mother says the same things to me-I guess she forgot what happens when children are little-especially me. There will be alot more fall, booboos that you will be unable to prevent. I keep neosporin in my pocketbook in case of accidents. just keep a close eye on her and if she is doing something that looks like she could get hurt then avoid that situation

that's crazy. accidents happen, fyi. keep letting her play outside. otherwise, she could get scared of ever playing again. she needs to know that going outside is okay.
