What is your family history? When did your teeth start falling out? They normally start exfoliating teeth around the ages of 5 - 7. That is a long time to live with decaying teeth. I would fill them. Just in case they start bothering your child. Don`t pull them, the teeth will erupt out of place. If your having a hard time financially, there is assistance for emergencies.

Get them filled. The cavities will only get worse and will eventually start to hurt. Most kids don't even start to lose baby teeth until they are around 5 and sometimes later (depending on which teeth). If those teeth were to decay so badly that they fall out before a permanent tooth is ready to take its place you could be looking at the other teeth shifting to fill the gaps as well as more expensive and painful dental work down the road.

Get them filled. The teeth generally will fall out about 6-7 years old, that's way too long to wait.
My daughter (had a cleft upper lip) had to have 4 teeth removed because of cavities at age of 2. She's doing fine without them but its hard for her to eat certain types of foods.
If you wait, you might have to have them removed. Cost is about the same as an adult but look for a local dentist that handles kids that age.

Cavities don't fall out. They only get bigger. On the other hand, waiting until the teeth fall out could prove to be painful for your child since it may be a 2-3 years until they do. Talk to your dentist or child's doctor for a professional opinion.

I would have them fixed. You are looking at 2-4 years on some of the teeth, some of them even longer. Depending on which teeth they are. The tooth could get really bad by then. I'm sure they would be easy to fix at this point.
Head start does do a dental check up, but they dont require you to fix the problem, they just let you know if anything is going on that could be of concern.
If the tooth is decayed, it could rot the tooth causing it to break not fall out. The child would then have to go to a dentist to have it cut the rest of the way out. That has to hurt more then fixing it. And could do damage to new teeth underneath.

I just went through this with my 5 yr old. He had a cavity and we were going to just wait for it to fall out.. That wasnt such a good idea. We ended up having it completely pulled this week becuase the cavity got worse and the tooth could not be saved. You may want to take your child to the dentist and have them look at it and help you with your decision. It was really hard to watch my son have the shots and stuff to get his tooth pulled.

I would have them filled. Some times it helps with the "new teeth" that will becoming in since there is a cavity there it may hurt the permanent ones. Plus if your going to put your child into head start, they will request that your child goes to the dentist and has her teeth filled if needed.

the similar thing happened to my 2 younger sisters, it really depends what the dentist reccomends because you dont want the cavity to get too bad where it infects the gums. most of the time the dentist will jus wait for the teeth to fall out.

If they aren't hurting her then why waste your money.I never had my son's filled. It's painful first of all for the child and she is going to be scared at the dentist office. She's going to lose them anyway. To me it doesn't make any sense to have her go through that if the teeth aren't hurting her. Whatever u do I'm sure you'll do it out of love.Good luck I will say this also.If they are big cavities then u might have to fill them before they get a chance to fall out.Because of her age. It's a judgement call.

I would suggest that you go to the dentist right away and talk to them about what they think is best for your child. You could also find a health website or dental website and e-mail one of the dentists with your question. They would probably know more about this situation that anyone on here would.
