We all know that some parents have no choice but to work full-time. However, in some two-parent families, it is usually not absolutely necessary for both parents to be doing so.

Yes i used to feel guilty. If you do not have to work then dont. i am a stay home mother because i have a toddler and two older children. Maybe you could start your own bussiness or just work part time.
If you have to work make the best of it. Growing up in the 80s both of my parents worked and i knew they loved me. IF your children enjoy their baby sitter and have a fun time they will be ok. but if i didnt have to work i wouldnt they are only little for so long.

I am a SAH mom and althought I did go back to work part time for a year and a half (as a school nurse) I couldn't believe how time consuming it was or if my own kids were sick I had to call out - (not my husband)! I have since found a job working from home on my own time. It's bliss.
I admire moms who can handle working - for me the little time I was out there (while they were in school) was a lot on me.
(we have 3 kids) 13, 10 and 8!

No. And I'm tired of other people questioning my choices and trying to make me feel guilty. My infant daughter has top-notch child care (which she loves), and I am not "neglecting" her. I get out of the house during the day to go to a fulfilling, rewarding job. In the evening, I'm refreshed and able to focus all of my attention on her needs. I'm providing a good example of a smart, self-assured, independent woman. That's a better role model than I would provide by being a miserable stay-at-home mom. (Note that I am NOT saying that all stay-at-home moms are miserable; just that I would be. I respect YOUR choice - why can't you respect mine?)

that's no longer ordinary being a mom, isn't it? enormously a single mom. You spend a million/3 asleep, a million/3 @ artwork, & a million/3 for each thing else. So, what to do. i'm a crafter too. I have been given my young infants (boys) in touch in crafting too. If I painted, I set them up with water colours or finger paint. If i grew to become into doing needlecraft, i might set them up with plastic canvas, blunt needle & some yarn & permit 'em have at it! as a techniques because of the fact the home extensive-unfold jobs. contain them too! A 2 year previous can dirt & a 6 year previous can help with the trash & vacuum. Or make a pastime/race out of it: What are you able to in 15-half-hour? lots in case you hustle! :-) yet have faith me, they do no longer care relating to the sparkling domicile as much as they desire time with you. you will possibly be able to desire to %. your priorties. you will possibly be able to desire to artwork so as that's a given. sparkling domicile or do crafts? Hmm-that's a no-brainer, i will % crafts any day! LOL decrease your domicile initiatives standards and spend extra time mutually with your infants. you will all be grateful & so will they. good success!

I'm a single mom of two. I did feel quality in the beginning but not so much now. As long as you spend quality time with them at night and on weekends. People say kids should not be in daycare but I think its good for them to interact with other kids at a young age to prepare them for school.

I do not feel guilty, I go to college and work and spend the weekends with my son, well accept nights when I go out partying with friends but he is asleep by then.

Me working and going to college I do not usually get home most days until 9PM and he goes to sleep at 10 so yeah sometimes i feel bad for that but once im out of college and am in Real Estate that will change..With Real Estate you do not have to be at the office all day , our friend Dotti is a Real Estate agent and she works out times and days to meet people for house showings and such and can put them around important things such as if her son has a soccer game from 4-6, she will work with the people she is showing a house to , to show the house at 2-3 or 7-8..She can work times out with people so she can be there with her kids and she always gives them her cell number because shes never really in her office, the only time she goes in is when they do paperwork to buy a house or she is searching for houses so she gets to spend a lot of time with her kids and be there for major things in there life plus makes a crap load of money, she is one of the richest people in the state of MD and she is worth a lot of money, this is why I want to get into Real Estate

Well, I have it set perfectly.
I take my son to school before I go to work, then I pick up both my wife and my son during my lunch, so my son is always with one of us.
