My husband and I have been asked if we would like to adopt one of or foster children but we would have to alow him visation with his birth mother who is a heroin adict and a crimanal we have already adoptide one child but this case scares us we belive it would be different if she was not hooked on drugs and had a big crimanal record we do love the child but this sounds dangerous what should we do

I'm getting to the point were i'm sleep deprived and i think she is doing it on purpose. For the first time I beat my daughter, i have done everything possible, i got a night light , a radio, i've left the tv on all night. For the past month all of a sudden she acts like a crazy woman when it is time to go to bed, and on the rare nights she does go do sleep calmly she wakes up in the middle of the night. I am 3 months pregnant with my second child and every time i go thru this with my daughter i begin cramping and spotting. She is going to cause me to miscarry this baby and i believe i will resent her and blame her for it if it does not stop. She doesn't even know i'm pregnant yet so it can't be that. Help be for my daughter kills my unbord baby.!

I've had a child with my ex, who hasn't been around adn is current;y in prison. I'm remairried and want to change my daughter's last name either to my husband's or my maiden. Does her father have to be present or give concent?

Single Parents only please...both male and female for a sociology project?

I am taking a sociology class where I need to interview 7 single male parents and 7 single female parents. If you could please answer these questions honestly so I can write my paper that would be great! Ofcourse everyone will be anonymous! Seems its only girls who may say oh I was a virgin it 20s or even marriage though how the hell they formed a relationship and not buddy mates I dont get.

But for guys its very clearly bad as all the girls peg you as a needy, despirate, virgin, clueless nurdy type and wont want to touch you as too nice and only see you as a gay brother mate to talk about the guys they do like with you.

Likewise if not a virgin but inexperienced so you have no confidence with girls and chatting up etc.


Which only gets worse with age.


Whilst girls can use the Im a virgin thing to pull. Guys cant and unless loose it early and get lots of practice at each level so to speak.


Seem to have little chance of getting a date let alone forming realtionships to get anywhere near to being married.


Plus whats the big deal anyway on marriage.


its just an evil cult ruling on how relationships should be done.

With most ending up loveless, abusive, divorced etc

i don't have any children, but my younger sister is dealing with this right now.... our mom was killed 7 years ago, and her kids (especially the oldest) is realizing that he doesn't have grandparents like his friends....
she doesn't want to lie, but how do you explain this to a child? and to make matters worse, our father (who killed her) is free, so the kids need to know to never contact him.... please, only serious answers... thanks

ok i have a friend she has been my friend for 3 yrs my daughter just had a birthday party i invited both of her kids...now her daughter is having a birthday party which i am invited to but the catch is...i am the only one invited she flat out told me my husband of my daughter who is one can not come her child is 13 i know that my daughter is not going for the party but it is the point that her kids were invited to my baby's party...the reason she said that they can not come is because she is doing this party at the beach by herself and she needs me to help...so therefore my baby or her father are not allowed to be there...also this is not the first time she has said this to only it is just my husband is not allowed most of the time how would you feel if this happend to you or what do you say? i never leave her kids or her husband out??!!

dated a guy for two years and they went to the junior and senior prom together after she turned 18 and moved out she said she broke up with him i believed her although she never cried about it but then yesterday my youngest daughter came home and said there were several text messages from him in her phone and they said " i love you" and "see you tonight" i trust my youngest daughter but i want proof i dont want to invade my daughters privacy but i want answers so i don't know if i should call our phone provider and get the lists that show all text messages that have been sent within the last month or if i should leave her alone and do as she pleases and if i choose to get the text message list how do i get it?

Do you pay for therapy per hour per month etc. ?

Do you go to a hospital or are there centers nearby where you live?

Does insurance cover any of the costs of therapy?

I am working on a business that will give parents a better choice for therapy.

im afraid she will get raped. she leaves the house with over half her breasts exposed. 1 day i tried to put a poncho over her to hide her shame, but she kicked me in the peanuts. i fell down the steps. the girl is out of control. i had to call the cops over 10 times !!! i cant take this anymore.

I have always instilled in both my girls not to talk to strangers. I have one that constantly asks me if I know that person in the store that I just politely spoke to. Then I have a younger child that will not even speak to her pediatrician. I took her to the dentist (shes 4) In California they just passed a new law that they have to see a dentist before they can go to school. I took her to the dentist, I explained the process, they even let me come in the back which they usually don't do, and she freaked out as soon as the dentist chair went back. The dentist got really pissed and told me that she was too old to act like that and that her behavior is inappropriate. Is this true? I believe she really was just scared. The fact is is that she still needs to see a dentist, but she does not talk to strangers. What do I do?
