for small toddlers, it is so much easier to make friends- there is no wondering about race, religion, social status, or wealth. in kindergarden, all the children want to do is play and eat. there is no question. once you get into first grade, things start to change. little girls become more flirtatious. little boys start becoming interested in their lifelong hobbies. it's weird, because it's such a young age. once these children reach middle school, depending on the school and group of children, it becomes a grade that there are either people in alot of different groups/cliques, or people that just stick to their own groups and don't ever go outside their own clique. there is also alot of fighting in middle and high school. it 's a pretty rough time, as you all know. but once you reach adulthood, you will only gain friends if you reach out and try. its not like kindergarden where you say "hi" and the reciever of this greeting is your eternal bffl. YOU GOTTA TRY.

Probably so, as adults we understand what judgement and rejection are. Children just want someone that is nice to play with. Adults want companions, adult conversation and there is more at risk with two adults in an disagreement, unlike a disagreement between two childern might just result in a stealing of a toy. Older children probably get a better view of how much harder it is to make mature friends as they age. Although things such as looks, weight, personality play a big role in making friends whether youre an adult or child it seems. I wish the world was a better place where everyone could get along but hey, there are friends out there for everyone.

it's more logic that children have friends easily than adults because they are instinct and pure.
I can remember when I was a child I used to play with any one and talk to any one.and maybe I made good number of friends.but the more I was getting older I was eleminating those who can't be my friends. at the elementary school I almost had differant friends with lower number.and now that Im at university I can say that I'm frienndly with everyone but my age and small experience made me more aware that not anyone can be ur friend and I have only 2 best friends but a lot friends.

of course, children cope up with more things and meet new people as they grow, so its easier for them to make friends with someone they dont really know. Coz some adults dont make friends that easy !

Yes,they don;'t have the preconceived stereotype notions that adults have, they can be friends with anyone at that age, all they want to do is play and so do the rest.

it depends on the person lol. It can work both ways. for the most part, tho, your adult friends will be the most important to you in the future. Your highschool friends you will most likely never see again after highschool
