My friend Amy told another friend, Becky who is a new mother, that I "hate kids" after Becky told Amythat I wanted to meet Becky's new baby boy. Becky was kind about the statement, but I was hurt since that is a cruel thing, in my mind, to say to a new mother and to state something false about me.

I am not a mother and no, I do NOT dislike children. I want to know...would you, a parent, be offended if you were told that someone you know "hates kids"??

Thanks:)

I have a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son, whenever I tell them to go play, they get upset and cry. What am I doing wrong? Does anyone else get this from their kids? I'd like them to be able to play on their own but my daughter tells me they cry because they don't like being "alone" -- they aren't alone -- I am there with them!

My nephews mother will not let my brother-in-law or any of his family see him anymore. He has takin a paternity test and pays child support. Does he have the right to see him whenever he wants? He has not been to court for visitation, because of money problems. I know that grandparents and any family of the fathers can get visitation rights in Ohio, because I have talked to the courts. Do you know if there is anyway we could take her to court without dishing out thousands of dollars?? Any information would help!!!

Funny isn't it how those who claim to be protecting children get all worried by those who take a different angle in protecting kids based on things like reality.

You know the one where most teenagers get drunk, try dope, get laid... Sex drugs/drink and rock and roll just like their parents did.

And go to ibiza etc to get as drunk and stoned as possible and have sex with as many as pobble, embarrasing the country etc etc..

Then all grow out of it, turn into these lying parents who pretend nobody does that and anyone who tells the truth must be a peado or stange etc.

And thinking PERSON BEING OF THE REAL WORLD having been hurt but parental lies by being held back must be the threat to their kids simply as they cant stomach people to tell it as it is.

Yet is it not hypothetically strange that when presented with evidence showing that those responsible for ideas like no sex before marriage and other puritanical morality are generally the ones who do the most confirmed,

I am an in home childcare provider. Im real affordable with the lady that i work for because she just needs me part time. But now she is going to VA for her magazine deadline and she doesnt want to take the 5 and 3 year old. She wants to pay me 400 total for 2 weeks. The reason why she thinks its fair is because she has the kids enrolled in daycare for 5 days a week partime and I wouldnt be there with the kids in the morning but i would be there with them all night. I told her it costs me over 50 to fill my gas tank and after the 2 weeks i will have pretty much only made about 200 because the daycare takes 30 minutes to get to....so an hour of driving per day. AND she wants me to do light housework. I dont think its a fair price and I think im about to be cheated if i do this. She wants me there 24/7 with the kids....I have a husband about to be deployed and son at home as well and her kids are a terror. What do you guys think. HELP!! the job starts Friday.

I am looking to find a certified babysitter with very good references and who is dependable and reliable with children, and also who is affordable. Where would I look in my area (Southwest Florida) to find a certified babysitter? I am extremely nervous about leaving my kids with anybody else but me, but my husband and I really do need some time out every now and then. I will do my own research on the candidate as well as get to know the person a bit before I would leave them. Any answers would be appreciated!
