when there are minor children. I just read two cases about that where a judge ordered just that. I also found out that a co-worker, while losing the majority of custody of her kids, got an order from the court saying that her husband couldn't have members of the opposite sex that he was not related to spending the night unless they were married.

Is it just that morals are low in Western society?

My 7 year old has always had a different way to him and for years we were told that he was ADD/ADHD, well he is not and he has been formally diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder with Intermitten Explosive Disorder. I have gotten over the initial feelings of guilt and denial that something could be wrong with my child, and I am doing my best to care for him and respect that he is wired differently, however I am struggling to find ways to discipline him and deal with him still, the stress is almost unsurmountable. Weekly counseling appointments, daily calls from the school, because the medicine isn't enough and they don't want to work with him they just want to up his dosage, little family support and 2 other young children in the home that do not understand why their brother is not being punished as often as they do. If anyone can help relate their experiences or just talk email me.

I made a deposit in October 2006 for my child to start at a Montessori school in Sept 2007. In Jan 2007, we changed our minds, and asked for a refund of the last month's tuition (I don't mind forfeiting the registration fee). The contract says that both the registration and last month's deposit are non-Refundable. I signed the contract. I have written a letter demanding refund of the tuition deposit on the grounds that they can offer the place to someone else and they have not offered any service in exchange for my deposit. I am also threatening them with legal action through small claims court. Do I have a case?

I have a supervisor who loves kids when we have picnics at the job wich is all the time he really enjoy my kids there teens and they enjoy him.But lately two older women join our team, there children are all grown, my supervisor been dogging my kids out telling them they are disrespectful and other things embrassing them in public and saying he does not care if there mother get mad, which is me. I had to tell him that if he see the kids do something wrong he needs to pull them to the side and talk to them. I know that both of these ladies had complaints on the kids, yes they are routy but not to the extent where they are tearing things up or fighting. One of these ladies is his girlfriend and the other I think he likes, I do beleive he does or use to like me.

Why do people have kids at a young age, when they know that they are not financially stable? Then they might end up being on welfare and bringing there kids up in a bad envoirment. Why can they just strap the jimmy on when having sex.

My 7 year old step-son sleeps in his mother's bed when he stays with her. He is actually expected to sleep with her. We have sent his sleeping bag with him and instructed both him and her that he is NOT to sleep in her bed. She doesn't see a problem with it and therefore allows it. 7 years old, in my opinion, is too old to be sleeping with your parent unless you have had a bed dream or are sick. And even then, there are limitations. Am I off base in thinking that this is a little creepy?

My son just turned 6 the other day. We told him when he turned 6 his sister who is three could no longer sleep with him in the same bed. Both of them are having a horrible time adjusting to both the recent time change and the new rule.
My husband doesn't think it is appropriate for them to still share a bed at this age. I don't think they can even comprehend why it isn't appropriate. I think time will do a good enough job of seperating them later on in life and let them bond now when they can. I support my husbands thoughts becuase he feels so strongly about them. Any help is appreciated.

I always hear people say how having children is a "blessing", and that they have "no regrets," but I want to hear both sides of the story. What are some of the things you secretly resent or regret about having children that I should be aware of before I think about having children of my own?

At one of our local pools it is acceptable for men to bring their young daughters into the male dressing room. I was a newbie to the pool and my male friend was bringing my 3 year old daughter. There is a family/wheelchair change room but there is no washroom in it. If I go along and just watch from the viewing deck in my streetclothes I am not allowed to bring her to the ladies washroom because I am not allowed on the pool deck with streetclothes on. He has to bring her into his changeroom! I questioned the pool director about it and she said it was standard practice throughout the city. I was, and still am, shocked! I think this makes for a perfect breeding ground for men who just like to look at little girls. I am so disgusted! What do you think? Have you seen or heard tell of this before? Should I demand better facilities?

I have two children-ages 4.5 and 13 months. I am caucasian and their daddy is African-American. We are doing the best that we can for them to teach them to love themselves(this so far with our daughter. Our son is obviously still too little)for who they are.
My question is, what kind of issues did/do your older multiracial children have with non-mixed children, if any? And how do you deal with the issues that they have?
I think it's never too early to be prepared.

The parents has 2 daughters, 14 & 11. The 14 year old hasn’t talked to the 11 yr old for 6 mnths because her parents don’t allow her date, go to the movies or friends house, & are very strict. She told the 11 yr old to tell her parents to give her the freedom & not worry about her because when she was 11, she wasn’t allowed to do many things the 11 yr old can now because the second child always has more freedom than the first. The 11 yr old refuse to tell her parents to give her the freedom. She feels it is unfair because her younger sister has freedom because of her & she can’t get freedom because of her sister. She say her little sister use her for freedom & is selfish & will not talk to her sister until she do what she says. The parents know the 14 yr old hasn’t talked to her sister, but don’t know why. They are worried & want to help but can’t.

My 6 year old daughters father has not seen him for a year. He saw her February last year and then did not turn up to her birthday party (he was invited) in March 2006. In December 2006, he then sends me text msgs to say he wants to take my Daughter Xmas shopping. I did not respond to these.

My Daughter has recently been watching a home video with him in it and now She has told me She wants her dad back and that she misses him. I want my little girl to be happy but am afraid he will turn up again and then just let her down like he used to for the past few years. Some advice please.

during the school day to say their own prayers?

Do you think they all have the discipline and the right habits to do so for themselves?

Do you think it is important for this to take school time, or do you think that they should
have said their morning prayers before they left for school? Don't you think they might need the assistance and company of their parents for their morning prayers?

Why is it so important that their prayers be made in school? Home is not good enough?
It should be!!!!!

I just over heard some women saying that they don't appreciate when women bring their son's into the ladies restroom. For the life of me I cannot understand what the problem is. I do not have children, but I do have a 6 year old godson that I take out with me very often. If either he or I have to use it while we are out, we are both going into the ladies room. I don't care who doesn't like it or get offended, get over it. There is no way in the world I would allow him to go into a men's room by himself. There are way too many sicko's out their for me. Just the same, I would never allow him to stand outside the bathroom while I used it. You hear stories everyday about children being snatched while parents turn their backs for one second.
I have been in many public bathrooms and have yet to see anyone naked. Hello that is why you go inside of the stall and close the door. Am I the only one that feels this way??

Every time my son plays up by hitting, biting or things like that I tell him off but I can't find a way to punish him. Eg if he bites and i tell him off, he just ignores me and carries on playing, or if i bite him back he laughs, if I put him in his cot, he plays. There is just no way to tell him he is doing wrong. ANyone got any ideas?

My husband is suing for custody. He has attached to his complaint letters that I wrote when we were married and he was cheating when I talked about how sad I was. That is over a year ago but he is alleging that I am too depressed to keep the kids. He and I have shared the kids 50/50 for almost a year but suddenly I am too depressed to have them?
He got angry because i asked his girlfriend not to spend the night at his house when the kids are there. They have the other half of the month to have all of the sex that they want.
He comes from a family of people who cheat, think that it is OK to leave their familties for extended periods. I didn;t know this before I married him.

I can counter this with evidence about his excessive drinking, his parents mental illness and drinking ( with whom he leaves the kids when he is to have them because he works and travels, how he is under the care of a therapist and how he is violent. He has political goals and this would kill those. Should I?
