If you are at someones home for a large gathering like say a birthday party with a buch of kids and toddlers around and a kid runs or walks past you with the unmistakable odor of loaded britches, do you say something funny or in a joking manner or just keep quiet and let someone else figure it out?

I am usually so good about keeping up with all important paperwork but Ive been losing my mind lately and cant seem to find my daughters shot records. does the hospital normally print out another one for you or will she have to get them all over again? she is 18 months old and she got all her shots from the same hospital.

Personally I think the sex ed curiculum that is being taught in alot of schools, should not be taught to our kids. I think teaching our children about sex is the parents job. I think if the schools are going to teach anything on sex ed, I think that it should be the anatomy, but I feel that it's not the school's place to teach kids about oral sex, anal sex, and homosexuality.

Just curious about how other parents think about this.

I have a 7 year old daughter. She has never been involved with her biological dad, she has never had a father figure in her life other than her grandfather. My boyfriend and I have been living together for 1 1/2 years and recently had a baby. My daughter does not respect my boyfriend whatsoever. There are good days, but mostly bad days. I'm not sure if its the fact that she doesn't know how to act about having a father figure in her life. I have tried so much, in my doing so I found out that she has ADHD, and am not sure if thats an issue as to why she acts this way with him. He trys so hard to treat her as if she was his, but its just not working. I have tried punishing by taking away the things that mean the most to her, i've tried setting down and talking to her, and she seems as if she gets it for that moment, but then its right back to where it was the next day. Please help anyone if you have any good solutions.

she's a good kid, has had 2 open hearts, has artificial heart valve, has made vow to herself to remain a virgin, (i believe her) problem is she live with family in different state (schooling reasons) and I don't know the teenagers she wants to go with.
she says they will be staying w/the parents and that boys will stay w/uncle, girls w/parents, not worried bout her decision making but am worried about security for her. spring break is a different social situation than most, (she has encountered none like it) and I'm worried that someone could "slip her a mickey" or otherwise gain control of her body without her consent. I realize that can happen anywhere but this is putting yourself into a situation where it could be more likely. she has no boyfriend, these are all "supposedly" friends. i dont want to blow it out of proportion (she'll be 18 in July) but it's my job to be concerned about her welfare. should i let her go?

What are the odds my sons biological father will recognize him if he see's him?I am 22 yrs old i just graduated from college and have been married for only 4 months.I have a son who is four years old from a prior relationship this was never really an issue till recent events.I have never told anyone who my sons biological father is and never thought it would come up.Unfortunatley it did come up last week while at a wedding run-through for one of my hubbys old friends from high school. To my shock it was my sons biological father even though he has no idea he only remebers me as an ex.gf.My hubby who i spilled the details to is very angry about it wants me to tell him and i would prefer not to.What are the odds my ex. notices that my son and him look a lot a like at his wedding?

Nothing irritates me nore than going into a store and seeing kids running wild or throwing tantrums. And everytime I see the parents just ignoring the behavior or catering to the child to get them to stop. It's disgusting! I have two children and was a songle mother for a long time, and my kids never acted that way in public. Am I the only one left that will actually discipline my children? Are the rest of these parents out there just affraid to discipline in public? Because everyone else standing around them is wishing they would...

Curious: are vacations scheduled by 1st requests put in, do you go by seniority of staff, do you draw out names and let those people get first choice? My husband has to put down all his vacation time in November for the following year to ensure he gets the time off---goes by seniority in his office. By the time the list goes through all employees, very few dates are left for last minute/spontaneous time off. So, now my center is wanting to change from 1st requests to drawing out names and letting that person pick their choices. This, of course, is not going to work well because most of the dates that my husband and I have planned trips around are times others have just now thought of requesting---I requested my time (in writing & verbally) in December, 06 for the whole year of 2007.
I ,personally, feel that seniority should have a bearing on requests because the person has been dependable and realiable for "x" amount of time and it gives them something to look forward to in futur

1.) My daughter is 2 and has always stayed home with either me or my mother-in-law.

2.) My in-laws are from Bulgaria and it is very normal for the grandparents to take a big part in raising the children.

3.) My father-in-law is a ship captain and will take my daughter to Bulgaria on the ship and back to the US on the ship 4 months later. There is no other way for the trip to be shorter.

4.) There is no way i can go.

5.) My daughter would have a good time on the sea and in the mountains, and have lots of good food.

6.) Couldn't feelings of abandonment be an issue?

7.) My mother-in-law nags me every day to give them my daughter and she said that they will be very upset (mostly at me) if they don't get her.

8.) I would have a very hard time letting this happen...i would have to be tranquilized for days; yet i get the feeling that i am only thinking of my feelings and not of what is best for my daughter.
-Am i not using my head?

If the kids do not live with you, why is it such a bad thing to help support the children you help make? You are hopefully helping emotionaly etc.(if you can see them), so why hate the fact that you have to help pay for them too?

not in the presence of the kids?
Why should a judge give the spouse the kids because the other spouse drinks a bottle of wine after the kids go to sleep at night.
In my town, you only get what is a parking ticket if you have enough for only one person.
Why is this more imoral than sex with a person to whom you are not married while the kids are there? Why is one OK and the other not?
Thanks for helping me write my paper.

I know there are other postings about this but my situation is a little different. my bf and i have been together for over 21/2 years. we recently moved in together and plan to get married in the future. the issue i am having is that is daughter doesnt have any respect. she has a bad attitude and yells at adults. even his family gets to the point where they wont deal with her. she continually yells at him and does not listen and she told me to shut up last night. i refuse to deal with this. i dont tolerate anyone else talking to me like that i am not going to tolerate it from her.
My bf corrects her and tells her not to say things to me that are out of line, but there is no real punishment so the behavior never changes. I dont think that he really knows what to do. he does not follow through with being firm with her and i cant take it anymore. i dont want to step on his or her mothers toes in the care of this little girl so what are my options? i feel that i am alone in this.
