I work FT from home as a technical writer. I've known others who have their own online business or sell stuff on eBay. You can also do web design, or work for the search engine, chacha.com. Some publishers will pay you $3-$5 per page to edit a manuscript.
Check out the work-at-home-mom's website, http://www.wahm.com for ideas and leads.
Good luck!
Edit: Angel, you can do a search for "freelance manuscript editing" and get a bunch of online companies that frequently hire freelance editors. Check out this site for starters: http://www.councilscienceeditors.org/jobbank/position_available.cfm

The best site I have found is cash crate. Never ever do anything that asks for money upfront! Cash crate is a place where you get paid to do surveys/questionnaires or you can sign up for free offers. It can be a little repetitive filling out offers, but you can make anywhere from $40 - .40 per survey or offer you do. You get paid once a month as long as you earn over $10 a month. On average I make $12 an hour. You can sign up here if interested. http://www.*************/index.php?ref=1...
This is the most honest site I have found. It tells you up front exactly what is required for each survey or offer. Some offers may require a credit card to sign up, but it tells you ahead of time so you don't waste your time filling out stuff. Unlike sites like panda research they wait until you fill everything out and then say oh you need a credit card. Now only a few require credit cards. I personally prefer to do the surveys, they are quick and the money adds up fast. They also have monthly contests where you can win more money! No I don't guarantee you can quit your job, but it will bring in a few hundred a month if you do one hour a day! Referral program where you can earn 10-20%. Also, they have a list of online stores you can shop at and earn cash back, from 5-100% back. Even WAL-MART.com is on their list!

I'm not sure wher eyou live, but there have got to be people looking for a realiable daycare in your home. I am also going to be starting this in the fall and I'm going to target Teachers so I can have all of the same Vacations and days off. Try advertising in your local paper, or in the local schools. Chances are if you leave near a school, the teachers there would like a daycare service near by.

If you're serious about the babysitting, I would go to apartment complexes, colleges, etc and put up flyers saying you have a small daycare at your home. It may not work, but you also may get some clients.
Good Luck!

Are you ready????.......EBAY! EBAY! EBAY! I spend my saturday mornings with my son going to yard sales, garage sales and some auctions/estate sales and I buy things to sell on ebay. Best thing to sell is name brand children's clothing and shoes. I spend anywhere from $100.00-$200.00 (sometimes less) a month on buying items and I NET after ebay fees and taking back what I spent at the sales....are ya ready??/$1500.00 a month. I literally work about 15 hours a week (if that) and that includes my time to go to the sales. LOVE IT!
