Could spend up to $500, but that amount will be a sacrifice. (We used to have money but now are very deep in debt.) Birthday is March 23. Son is Junior at private church college, biology/pre-med major, into girls, grades, sports (basketball and racketball), plays piano and into Josh Croban-type music, Snow boards* in Park City every year (but not this year), has scuba dived (*with own equipment) in the keys, Aruba, Bora Bora, etc. Likes to go on vacation cruises with parents. Is a conservative Christian. Between steady girl friends at the moment, but has one prospect he has dated a couple of times recently. Plays video games. Has a cutting edge powerful desk top custom built computer, but ruined last $3000 laptop by spilling milk on keyboard. Drives a 1996 black BMW Z-3 that he purchased with his own yard mowing business money when he turned 16. Now works as a server at On the Border Mexican restaurant and the Chop House, a 4 star steak house, to pay for half of his college tuition

I've heard a lot of people on here say that working moms are neglectful of their kids and don't care about their kids. I'm just wondering how people can even say that? I'm not trying to make anyone mad, so please dont' think that, I just truly am wondering why! I mean, some moms (myself included) HAVE to work to help pay the bills (I have to work to help pay the bills and we don't have ANY xtras, just house {which is a small $58,000 house}, 1 car payment and basic utilities {gas, electric, water/sewer land phone - we do NOT have cell phones or cable or any of that extra crap). I really don't think that working moms are neglectful - they are just doing what they have to do. I swear, it seems like people on here think that we working moms go to work every day dressed in stillettos and suits and take our breaks in coctail lounges climbing that "corporate ladder" when most of us work at thankless $8 an hour jobs (like me) to make ends meet and get one 30 minute break a day! see below

lets say the son is in his mid 20's and father in his mid 40s and they have drinking contest, they go to vegas, stripclubs, and get drunk together. and the father party with his son and his son's friends too.

the son has his own place and a job so he foots his own bills and can't be told what to do.
the son also bought a bmw 330i just like his father so they can race.

I'm a mother of a 13-year-old girl.A month ago she gave birth to a baby boy.Since the delivery(it was at home, not in the hospital) she hasn't stood up of the bed.In the end of the delivery she couldn't push the baby and it stood with half of the head outside and the other part inside her for 20 minutes..She is on diapers now and we feed her in bed.I thought she just needs rest after the delivery but is it normal to last already 5th week? She is slim and tall.

I'm 26. I'm a single mother of a 17 month old daughter. I work graveyard shift so that I don't have to put my daughter in daycare. I force myself to function on very little sleep so that my time with my daughter is quality time. I make sure that my daughter has everything that she wants and needs before I spend any money on myself.
Is it wrong for me to want to go out on a Saturday night every once in a while? Is it wrong for me to want a man in my life?

I would like to know is their a such thing as Natural vs. Unconditional love? Am I wrong for saying that I have two types of love for my child, and my step-daughter. I have natural love for my child, and I'm working on having unconditional love. I entered in my step-daughter life when she was 2. She's now 5, and I have a new born which is from me.

My sis came over with her twin girls the other day. Feisty girls she have. I couldn't exactly remember what I said to upset them so angrily. But the last thing I said was "You little girls are mean" Wack!!! One of them wacked me straight down the back on the vertibrae. Ouch. O.k. I deserved it. Then the other swooped around and punched me in the stomach. It's a good thing I have a well toned stomach, or else, I could have been winded. Then the older swung at me with a closed fist. It's fortunate for my quick reactions that I was able to block with my forearm. Bone to wrist bone collided. Then the second stood infront of me, said "What are you looking at?!" Kicked me in the shin bone, with her bare toes. I calmly said, You girls should stop that, before.." "Before what" said the younger. "Before you girls hurt yourselves!!" I yelled. They expressed a fake giggle "Ha! we're not hurt Uncle D." The younger one was welling up in a tear. I felt sorry. I apologized for having harder bones.

My brother-in-law took my 8 year old nephew to the movie 300. Does anyone else think that is wrong? How do i tell them I think it's wrong? Shouldn't there be laws saying that parents still shouldn't be able to take their kids to a R rated movie until they are at least 13!!!

I'm looking at setting up an email account for each of my two small kids. However, I'm paranoid about their safety while online or what they receive. Any suggestions on a free service or opinions if Yahoo! Mail will work. Or any advice on what to look out for.

Ok my daughter is 12 and sitting for important exam. I forbid her to play her new laptop, her soft toys, her favourite glitzy magazines and chatting online. She's depressing and unhappy lately but I pressed her on. I want her to get straight As that's all. She's my only child and I love her a LOT.

I don't believe I am, I just want some reinforcement that I did the right thing. . .13 month old just cried himself to sleep. It took about 25 minutes, but he finally stopped crying. I knew he was fine, fed, changed, comfortable, etc. He's been waking up at around this time every night, but never wants a drink, a change, etc. He just wants a cuddle, and to fall asleep in my arms. Please tell me I have no reason to feel guilty.

Ive heard a lot of parents cussing at thier child lately, for example we were at the mall and this lady was telling her little girl (who was sticking her head in a rail) "get your f*!@ing head out of there!" the little girl had to be about 3. and just a little while ago i was out for a walk and these people had their door open and a little kid was trying to get outside and the mom screamed "i dont f*!@ing think so!" it was so loud i could hear it from pretty far away. in my opinion its a form of emotional abuse because obviously the kid cant really defend themself on this one. im sure the parents dont like to be talked to like that, and its really irritating to me, what do you think?

I have a five year old boy and a 9 month old girl. I will do ANYTHING to make them laugh. I have slapped myself in the face many times and have also thrown myself fully clothed into a pool. I don't care what anybody thinks of me, it puts me on such a high to hear them laugh. What silly stuff will you do?

Questions for all parents.

Why do parents restrict their children do what they ( the perents) do?

Paraphrase, parents will tell their kids not to use the phone after certain hours, but at the same time parents are using the phone unlimitedly... Another suspect is that parents make it clear that their kids MUST not smoke, while they ( the parents) smoke. Parents are very concerned about their kids being bibulous, but at the same time they're ( the parents) found to be bibulous, too.

Parents restrict their kids from playing the radio at certain volume, but why it is ok for parents to play the radio at whatever volume they wish to?

It is ok for parents to use expletives, but not for their kids...

I understand parents own the house. Yes, I agree with that, but kids never asked their parents to bring them into their homes. Synonymously, it was the parents decision to HAVE kids, not the kids decision to be conceived. So it is a 50/50 rights here.
