i think this is a great idea, your son will grow up a stronger person knowing that he is alone in the world, he will become more independant and capable, its a perfect introduction to the world, i think i will do the same with my son

That is so wrong of you to toy with his emotions like that. How is that building anything other then him hating you for lying to him.
If you are any bit of a man you will tell him the truth to why you lied. That is not funny at all and if i were your wife you wouldn't have been able to write this question. Do you not understand how bad that is hurting your son?
What if all of a sudden your wife tells you that your son does not belong to you because she cheated on you? But you know she is only trying to build your character, would you be fine with that?

Is this a sick joke? Are you crazy? You told your son he was adopted and he really wasn't! You are not building character, you are destroying him. He is going to feel like he is not good enough to be your real child when he finds out he wasn't really adopted.
You are cruel and you don't deserve to be a parent.

i dont agree with u sir, wht type of character would you expect from your son?

There will be alot of phsychological troubles for him in the future...

My father adopted two of my best friends when we were young, though they know tht they are adopted as they were already 8 years of age, still my father never reminded them tht they are adopted. We all share the same equal rights in the family...

Its kindda hard to explain tht your method is wrong but i guess you know better, its your method of bringing up a family. If this was me, i would totally disagree.

Honestly, this is a poor method in which to build character in a child. You are teaching him that he can't trust his parent. As for the proper age to inform your child that he is adopted, it really depends on the mental and emotional development of the youth.

HI, WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS GOING TO MAKE YOUR CHILD ALL MIST UP IN THE HEAD. WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS NOT GOOD. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS ANY WAY. TO BUILD HIS CHARACTER UP. YOU CAN BUILD HIS CHARACTER UP IN MANY OTHER WAYS. WHEN YOU TELL HIM THAT YOU ARE HIS REAL MOM. HE IS GOING TO BE MISSED UP IN THE HEAD. I AM SORRY YOU ARE GOING ABOUT THIS THE WRONG WAY.
