I don't have any kids, but I would allow them not to wear socks in their sneakers if they don't want to wear them, I see a lot of kids not wearing socks in their sneakers whether the weather is warm or cold. There is nothing wrong with it. SOon we will be getting warm weather and I will start wearing my sandals. I almost never wear socks in my sneakers.

No, if my children want to wear sneakers they must wear socks too, if not it results in smelly shoes. If they don't want to wear socks, go for sandals. Also my kids are not allowed to go out barefoot, never know what is on the ground.

If the kids are wearing shoes, I make them wear socks (unless of course they are sandals). Feet sweat. We wear socks so that our shoes don't get all nasty. If they are water shoes or sandals, I'd say no socks. If they are grubby shoes that will be on and off several times, like going in and out of the sand box, for example, yeah, I'd say no socks, but to school or out to ride bikes and play, I'd probably go for socks.

We don't even wear sneaks when it's warmer weather! Gah, that would kill my feet. We wear sandals or flipflops or just go barefoot. Then again, we're in coastal southern California, everyone here pretty much is like that.

I personally don't even like socks, so yeah, we don't wear socks unless it's cold. My mother-in-law was trying to put socks on my 13 month old daughter the other day, and it was 97 degrees out! I mean, come ON...

sneakers and no socks end up in smelly feet/shoes.... my kids would do sandals with no socks.... but sneakers they would wear socks. go with them to the store and find socks that are low and only 'inside' the sneaker style... that will help.... and keep them 100% cotton... that helps too... their feet won't be so hot

that's too a lot of a wrestle with my son to make him positioned on socks.. this isn't the conflict I actually have the flexibility to wrestle! LOL sure, his feet and shoes stink, and are very dirty and gross yet I basically purchase the spray for the stinky shoes. And socks with sandals? i'd not enable my young ones to attempt this firstly LOL

yeah. after all, they're kids, so let them be. plus, does it really matter? i mean, who cares if they become sweaty. after all, the sweat in your body actually helps you to break into your shoes easier. also, wearing sneakers without socks are so much more comfortable than without socks. plus, if they get too smelly for you, just get them new ones and let them break into that. meanwhile, donate their old shoes, sell them on ebay (i see a lot of people bidding on sweaty shoes), or the best use of old shoes: simply keep them in the house.

This is coming from a person who hates socks and shoes. I don't wear them unless I absolutely have to. My kids, however, have to wear them with sneakers, mainly because they get blisters on their heels if they don't. In the summer time we all go barefoot or with sandals. (not to mention the fact that I hate laundering socks, the drier always eats one or two and they go to live with Jesus) :)

No my kids always have to wear socks if they are wearing school shoes/sneakers/boots. Only with crocs or flip flops can they go sockless.
