I feel the same way. I have a 5 year old son and he goes in with me to public restrooms and i do not give a care what people think. If they don't like it then they can kiss my a**! I am not going to allow my child to go into the mens bathroom on his own because there are so many wackos in this world.
Not that long ago in my homestate (45 minutes from where i live) a 14 year old boy went to the restroom and was raped by some sicko man. That is why i will not let my child get out of my sight.
It is not like when you go in the restroom my son is running around naked or any women naked.
We are in a bathroom stall where no one can see him so everyone that thinks it is wrong should just not go into public restrooms.

I feel the same way.. I have a 5 yr old son and he goes with me to the bathroom. There is NO WAY in hell I will let him go into a men's bathroom alone. 1st off he would play around and 2nd if someone touched my child.. well let's just say it would be the last child they ever touched! Obivously these women complaining do not have small children or any children at all. The world is not like it was when we were small. Parents would let us go to the bathroom alone and never think twice about it. I am afraid to let my son play outside these days.
Women who complain about it need to get over themselves. This is why the stalls have doors.

As long as my husband isn't with me, my son is going into the ladies room with me to use the rest room or while I go. If anyone has a problem with it, they can kiss my you know what!!!! There is no way I'm going to send a young child into the bathroom alone. There is no telling what kind of mischief they would get into, let alone all the sickos in this world.
And recently, I was in a SuperCenter and I noticed that in the "big" stall, they had a little chair where you could sit your child on while you used the bathroom.

who cares how other people feel on this topic, im the mother of 4 small boys under 8, and there are way to many sexual preds out there waiting for things like this, and as a mom its my job to protect and how would i know whats going on in that bathroom to my children if im standing on the outside "waiting" for them to come walking out. Its just not a good idea. Now that our oldest is 8 i do let him do it once in awhile because he knows to shut and lock the door, he knows not to talk to anyone, and to come right back out. The 6 year olds and the 4 year old still come with me into the bathroom. I dont care if the place is packed with females that dont like it. Its just the way it is and if anyone has a problem with it maybe they should stand outside the door until i get my boys in and out of there. Besides that i make the boys stand in a line, go in lock the door and go to the bathroom, (with the lid up LOL), and wash their hands, its not like they are pervs looking under the stalls. People are just hard headed and will always find something to complain about. If i ever heard someone having a conversation about this i would jump in and give my 2 cents to them. Its people like them that have rotten kids that get lost or stolen.

Nothing wrong with taking a young boy into the bathroom with you--esp with ladies restrooms everything is all covered up--the toilets are all in enclosed booths--so what is the big deal?..My guess is--that these complaining people probably had to use the restrooms on their own when they were children--otherwise they should be glad that responsible adults are looking out for their kids...Good for you--we need more vigilant and intelligent adults out there

Anyone having a problem with it apparently has no kids and knows no one with small kids. I have a daughter so I won't have that problem. However I have a 3 year old nephew and a 3 year old cousin and they both go places with me all the time. They'll be going to the ladies room until they know all about what should and shouldn't happen to them in the bathroom. People have a problem with it can kiss my ***.

I don't have any sons but if I did I certainly would not allow them to use the men's room by themselves. I had a teacher in high school who said that a friend of hers let her son go into a men's bathroom and he was in there for less than 5 minutes and she got worried so she asked someone to go in and check on him. They found him in a stall with his throat slit. So no, I would never allow any oyung boy to go into a washroom alone.

I never left my nephews unattended until he was 7 yrs old and that was when he was with his older brother outside the ladies room. I have a 9 month old son and if his dad isnt with me I'll be taking him in at 6 yrs old too! Let some old bat tell me they dont appreciate it, it'll be the last damn thing they have to say.

I agree with you. It's much safer than leaving a child unattended. There's doors on the stalls, there's no risk of him getting an early anotomy lesson of any kinds. There's no problem with it and most people I know don't. My guess is the people you heard complaining never had children or put much thought into it the children's safety.

There's nothing wrong with taking a young boy in the female toilets. The person you overheard obviously hasn't children. What did she expect, for the mother to leave her child unattended out side the toilets.
