Marriage & Divorce - 19 December 2007

I have been married for three years and my husband and I are going through a divorce. I am going through so many emotions sadness, anger, and guilt. I did everything for my husband and had cheated on me more than once and never really helped me do anything. He had a drinking problem that he still thinks is not a problem. I understand that all these things are more than enough to get divorced on I guess I feel like there was a lot of good to but the bad out weighed the good. I feel so lost and although he begged me not to divorce him and he offered to go to counseling it felt like it was to little to late. I guess what I really want to know is am I making the right decision by not allowing him to work it out or was that his desperate attempt to hold on. I am so confused.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and lived together for the last 1.5 years (we bought a house). We also have 3 dogs that we think of as our babies...lol.. We've survived hard times and have become closer from them, but we have never broken up and rarely do we fight. We are a very open couple. We talk about marriage very often, including the type of ring that I want. I told him that I want a CZ ring, but he would like to get me diamonds. He has been picking up many extra shifts lately, but I'm trying not to be presumptious. (he also has a lot of debt that he wants to pay off) We just had our 1st vacation, 3 yr anniversary, and now xmas is coming up. He told me on our 3 year anniversaty that he won't propose on an obvious day because it wouldn't be a suprise....but I keep getting dissapointed each holiday! He keeps getting more lovey. Do you think it will happen soon? Weare very open and I told him I want to be engaged by 4 yrs. He told me we would be engaged soon?

A promise ring for marriage.. what are your thoughts? I always thought if you are going to buy a ring, and for that reason to promise marriage later in life, then wouldn't you just buy an engagement ring? Or wait until you can buy the engagement ring? Just a thought. What is your opinion?

What would you do if you caught your wife having an internet affair. Then it turning into were they exchange phone numbers and addresses. All the while neither are aware that you know what is going on in the secret? You have his name his wifes name, his phone number and adress and he lives 200 miles away.

i told my children's father shape up or ship out. he proposed and we set a date. then things happened and he ended up moving out. i bit the bullet an said everything was my fault because the argument was so stupid. when all i had to do was compromise on the wedding date. so to get him to come back i said that i wouldn't mention a wedding period point blank. but then he asked what i wanted for xmas and i said i wanted things to go back to normal like how they were before the argument with our october 18th wedding date. so he got the note and call me on his way to work pissed because i had brought up this siutation again. i'm so sick of this. one minute we're in love and he wants to make this work then the next minute he's not into the whole idea of marriage. i feel like he thinks that there's no point to getting married because we already have two daughters and a house. and we're basically living the married life. i wanna know should i stay or go. i think i deserve more than this.

I saw appauled by how many women loved "First Wives Club" because they think they're always better and smarter than men(Not ALL women are smarter than ALL men, BTW!!!).

But, what if there could be a movie like this where the husbands get revenge on their ex-wives and clean them out finacially? I bet you'd hate that even if the ex-wives severly wronged them, right?

All you care about is women-empowerment and want the hero in the movies to be women who kick butt like Lara Croft, right?

His ex has issuses. She demands things one and and then backs out on them the next. His mom and her decided since the youngest child is sick that she(the grandma, his mother) would staya t home today and watch him. This is fine but there was no phone call to let us know that these were being planned on. Now the ex is saying he can't have the boys on CHristmas eve, even though this is what was arragned prior to the divorce.

Why do older men chase after girls young enough to be their daughters or granddaughters?

When I was 16, a man that was 60 wanted me to marry him. He helped me out financially because I left a bad home. He was a friend of the family.

While in that situation he would drop me off at school and want me to think of him as my dad. It was getting strange so I left. Once I did leave he accused me of being a nutjob and selfish and using him and playing with his heart.

And why is it older men chase young girls and then turn everything around? They make you feel like the bad one.

I would like to hear some opinions

I'm happily married, and have a lovely daughter.
I do go in to chat rooms, but runaway from guys that want to cyber or even ask me what i'm wearing.
I let everyone know that I am married (guy or girl). but lately. I've been talking to a guy that not only knows about my family but asks how they're doing.
I'm not falling for him, but I do find myself flirting with him a lot!
I enjoy talking to him and do consider him a friend, so I don't want to just cut him off.
any real advice would be a great help.
thanks

I have been dating the love of my life for over 2 years now. He wants me to move in with him but I want him to pop the question first! How long must I wait? We have talked about it many times before and we both want to get married but he tends to procrastinate. How do I give him that push that he needs?

In a previous question I explained that the mother of my 2yr old and fiancé of 5 years said our relationship was over. She said it's possible to get back together someday, but that she mite date others in the meantime. It devastated me.

I've taken the mindset that I "don't need her", "won't call her", & "won't tell her I love her". I want to show her that I can stand tall/strong, but I don't want her to think that I can easily get over her, or that I'm giving up on us. I'll never give up, and I get the feeling that she's testing me.

Today she stopped by my office to pickup something and we talked for a few minutes. She stared into my eyes with a curious-concerned look and continued to as I walked away. Only yesterday she said it was over(at least for now). I don't know what to think of it.

Any suggestions how I should act around or speak to her?

My husband has been distant from me for a while. He never shows any affection towards me and every time I tried to get closer to him he would just try to get away from me, and I would end up feeling stupid. We've been married for 3 years with 1 child. He never wants to have sex or be around me anymore leaving me feeling very ugly and depressed.

He's been on the laptop downstairs all night long till 2 am at times this month and I was very suspicious. So I went to his myspace profile and say this girl posting in all his pictures saying he was so hot and that he was hers and she wants him so bad. So Iogged into his acct and saw that they send messages back and forth to eachother saying that they love eachother and he posted in her profile comments how sexy she is (he never posts any comments on my page). He even calls her and she sent him nude pics of her and he sent her a pic of him in his boxers!

I'm very hurt, I dont wanna tell him I went in his acct but I wanna confront him. Help!

Am I out of line for scolding people who write questions that are long, meandering, contain no punctuation, and are entirely composed of text-message shorthand? Are some young people honestly not capable of writing with any kind of grammar or punctuation?

These people claim to be married, kids etc.... therefore, I must presume they are not 14. Is this crap for real?

...our sexual histories with each other. Although she wasn't crazy to hear about mine, I answered all of her questions. When I aksed her about her past boyfriends I got extremely aroused hearing about her experiences. Why would this be? Shouldn't I be somewhat self-conscious about it?

I have access to their house all the time and there is some medication missing. They believe I stole it and I didn't, I'm trying to get pregnant, so it doesn't make sense for me to do that. I told them I didn't and they were welcome to my house to look or to my blood work to see I didn't take it. They might get police involved to figure it out. I'm so uncomfortable with the whole situation. How do I get around this and move on if they won't?

I have asked questions about jobs before and I've had a couple people answer that they are stay at home wives??? What are they doing other than what the rest of us do after we get out of work? Obviously they don't have kids to take care of because they would say they are a stay at home mom.
One woman said she works 24/7 because she is a stay at home wife, but that's ok cause she loves it...
well of course you love it, who wouldn't?!

My wife left me a little over a year ago right after I was diagnosed with cancer. We had been married a long time and have two adult children. The divorce will be final any moment. She has poisoned our children against me. I am facing the holiday season alone. This is destroying me.

I right now work two jobs. I got an extra job for the holiday season at Best Buy. Well I work my other job and my job there is taking off. I am getting promoted and am going through exams right now that I must pass before flying out for training. I am also married with a 3 month of infant. I pretty much work every weekend and most everyday after my main job. I am really tired and want my time back.

Best Buy employees get everything at store cost plus 5%. I I want to buy my mom all new kitchen utensils for christmas since they would be dirt cheap. Should I just wait till Friday for payday and buy the stuff and then just never show back up or what would you do? I miss being with my family and having my sanity lol.
