Well, you already stated he has a history of cheating on you.
But for him to take his good clothes for duty????
Maybe bedroom duty, with someone else that lives off base.

Here are a few signs of a cheating louse;

*secretive with cell phone and all calls (however, you do have access to the bills)
*secretive with wallet
*wants to do their laundry separate of yours
*starts random arguments just to leave the house
*becomes physically and emotionally distant from you
*talks about a new "friend" they met at work and really hit it off
*compares you to other females
the way you dress
your clothing
your hair and make up
your physical appearance (weight issues)
your education (or lack of it)

once a cheater always a cheater, I hope it is not the case but I bet he was doing something other than setting up a nice christmas surprise, call the base and see if he is on duty, that is what I would do, don't call his phone then he will know somethings up and figure out a good lie, been there done that with my now ex not happening again

if it was a 24 hour shift in which he would have to be in uniform the entire time then yes i would be very suspicious and call him to make sure nothing is going on. dont text..if he is with someone else that will make it easier for him to lie to her and hide the fact that he is texting his wife back. also, you wont be able to hear any background noise that could give him away. normally i wouldnt advise jumping to conclusions but since you say he has cheated in the past i would be def have my eye on him. call him and let me know how it turns out!!

Definitely shady.
Once a cheater always a cheater; sounds like he's up to something. Call him to confront him! If he doesn't pick up that goes to show you that something definitely could be going on. And, when you're married there should be NO reason to hide text messages, phone calls or anything.. if a marriage is completely honest it will work out. Your husband lacks honesty and is unable to commit, it seems.

in case you loosen up slightly i'm particular issues might calm down and regardless of she says for the duration of intercourse would be YOUR call. If he had a extreme relationship in the previous - getting married is a extensive step, perhaps he has some subjects that a sort, undersatnding spouse might desire to help him via (and that they might have not have been given something to do along with his ex). If he's dreaming approximately his ex, it would desire to advise he has subjects to handle at paintings (and lower back no longer something to do along with his ex). yet you're married now, do no longer even think of roughly divorce till there are no longer the different achievable ideas you could take. in case you like him, then stand via him "for extra perfect or worse" and then issues will strengthen. human beings get divorced too easily presently!

On one hand you should trust your instincts, but...

You are going to need real, solid evidence before you go accusing him.

Put on your detective hat and find out the truth.

Besides, maybe he is just being sly about obtaining your Christmas present.

Take a look at that glass again, maybe it is really half full and not half empty.

Merry Christmas

That is a mighty big conclusion to jump to based on taking some extra clothing. I'd say don't call but keep your eyes open.

have you tried callinghis work to ask when his breaks are and when you can call him.. that might be an idea and then when you find out that he isn't at work then you can start asking all the tough questions like. why he lied to you and why did he take his good clothes
