Marriage & Divorce - 19 December 2007

[Selected]: All categories Family & Relationships Marriage & Divorce

Say a couple is going through a divorce. One reason for the split is the husband cheated with several women. The husband continues to sleep around, while the divorce is pending. Down the line, he tells his soon-to-be ex he still loves her, and wants her back. However, he hasn't stopped sleeping around. He admits it. His wife tells him she will not even consider reconciling unless he stops seeing other people. He says if the two of them got back together, she would be his one and only.

Don't you think he needs to stop seeing other people BEFORE attempting to get back with his wife? How in the world can she ever take him seriously if he's still sleeping around??

Our son has bronchitis since Sunday. He has had a high fever, vomiting and overall sick. (He has been getting better since he has been on antibiotics since Sunday) I asked my husband to skip his basketball games tonight because I need help. Even tho I love my son a sick toddler is difficult. I begged him to help and stay. His reasoning is that our son will be in bed in an hour so it doesn't matter for him to stay. I am heart broken and he lost a lot in my eyes tonight. Am I wrong for feeling like this?

My parents are fighting constantly now about the others relatives, money, and whose job it is to do what. They fight in the living room every night and Im in there with them and sometimes my brother. We usually yell at them and curse at them to shut up and it only works for 5 minuets or so. There fighting can be heard throughout the whole house and next door. I think they are getting a divorce; my dad was fighting about it with her a minuet ago. I need help to get them to stop fighting.

we married one year, before that we dated one year. some times i felt love her but now i don't. during that time, i said "I love you" few times but She never said anything. I just confronted her, i asked "do you love me?" after few seconds she said "yes, don't you see that!". she didn't say directly she loved me.

I doubt she doesn't love me. but beside that, she's so jealous, she's so selfish, she just want me around her all the time.

i really want to know she love me or not?

My husband and I have been married for nearly four years now... a few weeks back he admitted to me that he's attracted to a close friend of ours... but nothing has ever happened or will happen... but that admission broke my heart... I offered to bow out gracefully... but he begged me to stay with him... said that he loves me... and the attraction to the friend is mostly physical... he wants to be with me... I know he can't really help the physical attraction... but I'm still hurt and am still upset about it... and I don't know how to make myself feel better... I know that he's not cheating on me... I know the friend would never allow it... she has a rule about married people in general... so that's not a problem... but I keep finding myself sniping at him... because I'm still really hurt... how do I make this thing go away? He feels I'm pushing him away... and I don't want to do that... but I can't seem to help myself... What should I do?

They call each other bi(ches and are more critical/judgemental of each other. When the guy cheats, the woman automatically blames the other woman. What if the women didnt know? If you didnt notice, guys like to lie to get sex.
Many women dress don't even dress for men, they dress to compete with each other. You know who you are.
If women dont respect each other then how can we expect respect from men? Is this an example of divide and conquer?

Ever since i had my second child my body is not the same-i love my man and we have a good marriage however-where physical connections are concerned, i can not "get there" like I did in the past. (but I can when Im solo) Afew times we tried to discuss it but it was akward and it didnt help. So, for the past 2 yrs Ive just been faking it. I still like it and i still want it but, I guess I dont want to go the rest of my life this way, but on the other hand, I'd rather just deal with it than have it become a problem. What should I do? Fess up or let sleeping dogs lie?

My partner and i broke up 4 weeks ago, she said she doesn't know how she feels anymore and felt she had to break up with me because she didn't want to string me along if her heart wasn't in it. We had been together for four years, she is 20 i am 24.
I found out yesterday through her mother that she out of the blue told her mother she is frightened of marriage, having children and getting old!
Could this be a possible reason why she felt she had to break up with me?
We had discused marriage but we both felt that was at least 2 to 3 years away.

Hello.
My ex-husband and I divorced in November of 2006. I found out He cheated on me with his ex-girlfriend from High School before and after he was deployed to Afghanistan (we were married then). That's why we divorced. He is now married to her (married her in January after our divorce).

I got a Christmas card from them this year.

They were doing it to be spiteful, I know.... and, it's got HER written all over it. She's one of those Redneck bitches that thinks she got one over on me by "stealing my man."

Has that ever happened to any of you???? Just curious if there are more braison people in the world like that.

I coulda beat the crap outta both of 'em, by the way!

Oh, p.s.... they sent one to my parents too!!! Believe that???

No one goes to jail for having an affair, so by not having punishments for having affairs aren't we as a society saying affairs are acceptable?

So, every morning (December only) my wife wakes up, takes my truck to the coffee stand, gets me coffee, and brings it home. This way, I get my morning coffee, and my truck warmed up (it's single digits where we live). This morning, as I was getting ready to leave, she told me that my truck wasn't warmed up yet. I said "You walked 2 miles to get me coffee"? Obviously, there was no coffee ready for me either, but she thinks my remark was insensitive. Any thoughts.

Ok here goes. I am going through a divorce. My soon to be X is threatening many things. My attny is asking for child support for another child we have together and alimony for a short period of time. I am NOT requesting child support for the foster child as I get money from the state. My X is stating that with the foster money I get, that I make more than he does currently. He is trying to scare me into submission but I believe that foster money cannot be counted as my income. Can someone please help me with this.

Thanks

A spouse will go without for only so long before they feel estranged to start to live their life for themselves.

Doesn't this mean "sex withholders" are just idiots for not seeing the affair they are opening the door for?
