Say a couple is going through a divorce. One reason for the split is the husband cheated with several women. The husband continues to sleep around, while the divorce is pending. Down the line, he tells his soon-to-be ex he still loves her, and wants her back. However, he hasn't stopped sleeping around. He admits it. His wife tells him she will not even consider reconciling unless he stops seeing other people. He says if the two of them got back together, she would be his one and only.

Don't you think he needs to stop seeing other people BEFORE attempting to get back with his wife? How in the world can she ever take him seriously if he's still sleeping around??

If he really wanted her back he would have stopped on his own without her making it a stipulation leaving me to believe he will not stop but make a better effort of concealing his extracurricular activities. He is not serious about stopping anything i say just file the papers and get on with her life.

That's not the question. The question is two fold 1- how in the world can she even consider getting back with him because 2- how can she ever trust him?
Men like this will never change because the grass is always greener on the other side. Meaning a new female body is something to be explored and played with. And to dip his wick in some other hole is his only goal in life.
A leopard will not change it's spots and a man with a long history of cheating and jumping from piece of A S S to another will not readily change.
She's done the right thing Divorce him, send him on his way and move on with her life. There are a lot better men out there, she'll find one who will be devoted to her and her alone. Then she can be completely happy with her life.

He needs to prove to you that he is not seeing any other women and be celibate for a few months to prove to you he is serious about your relationship and getting back on the right track. If he does this and is successful then he might mean it but he might be the sort of person that when in a relationship they just cant help doing as they please. Good luck let me know how you get on and i hope you have a good Xmas

not only should he stop seeing other people before he tries to get back with his wife, but his wife should NOT take him back, period. the saying once a cheater always a cheater is not a 'saying' for no apparent reason. not only that, but she will constantly have in the back of her mind, whether he is anew faithful or not, doubts questions worries and the like. nuff said.

Yes, he needs to stop seeing others before they get back together. If he's SERIOUS, then his actions will speak louder than his words ever could.

HE is the one who needs to take the first step towards rebuilding the trust, because HE is the one who screwed up.

Sure he wants her back, but he won't change. He will continue to cheat . It doesn't matter if they get back together and he isn't seeing anyone now, he will again, and again, until they don't want him anymore, and then he will be faithful.

I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. His lack of respect for his wife is terrible and if she falls for it she deserves what she gets.

How can she ever take him seriously anyway. He will not stop, he has already proven it.
