No, the lease/mortage whatever will be in your name meaning it's your responsibility. No one else has to be there for you to do something like that.

Not really but he will be able to claim ownership to 1/2 of it. Even though youre seperated, youre still legally married and responsible for each others actions. You need to get divorced from him before buying a house or he could force you to sell it claiming his 1/2 in divorce court unless you buy him out. Definitely not a good situation to be in. Good luck and Happy Holidays

I would not buy a house until you are divorce or at least in the process. If you can get financing you do not need his signature.

You can purchase the house as your SEPARATE property which means that your husband would not hold any interest (have a right to) in the property. However, you will definitely want to talk to a real estate lawyer first to make sure that the contract gets written up and the sale is recorded in your name only as your separate property.

No, you don't need his signature, but get legal advise from an attorney before buying it to see how you can be sole owner without the divorce . I'm sure you can find legal resources.
Good luck in your real estate investment!

no.. but you do need a seperation or divorce.. because if you buy the house and later try to divorce him.. he could make you sell it and get half of what you get for it.. talk to lawyer before you do anything..

Don't buy anything until the divorce is finalized... unless you want to split it with him!
