So, every morning (December only) my wife wakes up, takes my truck to the coffee stand, gets me coffee, and brings it home. This way, I get my morning coffee, and my truck warmed up (it's single digits where we live). This morning, as I was getting ready to leave, she told me that my truck wasn't warmed up yet. I said "You walked 2 miles to get me coffee"? Obviously, there was no coffee ready for me either, but she thinks my remark was insensitive. Any thoughts.

Trailsen, who needs a coffee pot and a remote starter? I've got a wife for that.

LOL. You were kidding right? I read it and laughed because seriously, if you were joking around...that was great. If you were serious, it's still funny (to me), but maybe in her head she was thinking, "Why is he assuming I'd warm up the truck much less get him coffee? I know I've done it for him before...but he shouldn't take it for granted."
I dunno. That's my only guess. Sorry I'm not much help. I would've been thinking, "HAHAHAHAHA, good one!" And then called you a goof ball. *shrug*

Your wife does these kind acts because she cares and wants to make your morning a little better. Your comments suggest that you believe it is her duty to wake up and go about warming your truck and fetching a coffee for you. You're not really treating your spouse with kindness, love or respect.

You're taking advantage of her kindness. Nobody likes to feel like their being used. She doesn't feel like doing it all the time. Give her a break. You made her feel like you didn't appreciate what she had been doing for you. I think you should buy her some flowers and say sorry. I bet the next day you will have coffee and a warmed up truck. You have to keep her spirits high. You do that, you'll have it made. Are you telling me that you don't know how to work a woman?

Ah, the typical male response of open mouth before thinking and inserting foot. As innocent as it may seem to you it was, to her it was a bomb and due to her reaction, it seems wasnt having a very good hair day. The problem here is the damage is done and no way to undo it easily. And as to your additionalcomments, you need t ditch the caveman era thinking and be more understanding and sensitive towards your wife or that way of thinking just may cost you some big bucks and then you wont ever have anyone to do anything for you. Happy Holidays

I laughed when I read this. It was a witty remark you made. Maybe your wife does not have her sense of humor working early in the morning.
How about you fetching her a cup of coffee for change.

You actually has a wife that does that. You should feel honored to have her b/c you wont find many women these days that would do that type of stuff for you. I think you were bogus for that comment to her & you know you got it made with her or else you wouldnt have even made that type of crack at her. I think you need a good slapping from her.

It was insensitive.
She was trying to warn you that your truck wasn't warmed up because obviously she didn't make it out to go get you coffee. Rather then being appreciative for the fact that she does this for you pretty much everyday, you decided to be sarcastic and rude, which in terms probably hurt her feelings.
You owe her an apology.

My thoughts are you are insensitive. Why don't you all buy a coffee maker, but besides that. Your wife seems to treat you good. What do you do for her, to show how much you love her?

Sounds like you're taking her for granted. Maybe she did not have time to get your coffee this morning, or maybe she was planning on doing something else for you. Maybe it's a sign that she WANTS you to do stuff like that for her.... Talk with her about it. I'm a female and if I were in her situtation, I would have gotten upset too. That's just me though.
