Age is just a number and your are as young or old as you feel. However, age does make a difference when you are talking marriage. 20 years is a big difference in age. A 19 year old thinks differently than a 40 year old who has sown their oats as the saying goes. At 19 you have the world in front of you and you are still experiencing life and what you want from it. A 40 year old has already established themselves and hopefully knows what they want . They think different, act different and is more like a father daughter relationship than a husband and wife. I don't think it's good to be that far apart in age when dating or marriage. No matter what age you are 20 years is a big difference. Just think when the younger one is 40 ( and still hot) the older one will be 60.

First of all your sister must understand the difference of age if she doesn't then your parents. Top of that how a matured man can be involved with someone only 19. Is he reallt a COP or some security guy. If she is 19 then their affair must have strated atleast 1-2 years ago..If yes How can a cop have realtionship with minor If not then why they wanna get married so quick. Something si not right....Good Luck

Well I don't really disapprove or approve and I'm a lesbian, I don't think marriage should be determined weather you should love someone more or marriage should be something that's a must you can love your partner just as equal as if you weren't married, your love shouldn't greater with the help of marriage ..but then again everyone deserves equal rights so if straight people can marry why can't gay people

Sorry to say that this situation totally disturbs me. For starters the 40 Y.O. cop should be looking for a mother for those 4 kids and not a companion. Very selfish to be so pre-occupied with finding a play thing and not someone mature enough to be a mother...she is a kid herself. I hope they HAVE not married, and ANOTHER child is out of the question for many years...like a decade. When she is 29 and
he's 50, lets see if he as appealing as he is today.

Sounds like a REALLY bad idea. Your sister must be very desperate or very deluded. He probably just wants her to take care of the kids. That is a HUGE age difference, and at 19, your sister has had no time to live and enjoy growing up on her own. But, she probably won't listen.

I think that your sister is probably going to do whatever she wants to do. You can do one of two things: Disapprove of it and be a butthead and jerk about it..).she's still goign to do what she wants)...and make things bad between you guys. Or two: Approve of it and just be glad that she's happy and keep things good between you two (because again she is going to do it with or without your approval) She is your sister and that's the most important thing. The point is that she is going to do what she wants so whether you approve or disapprove you should be happy that she is happy. You wouldn't want her to make a decision based on what others think and spend her whole life being miserable right?

I will give you my honest opion your sister fell in love with a man that has three children from his previous marriage, We can not approve or disapprove on who our family members fall in love with but wish and hope them the best. This is not your life so let your sister live her life and you live yours.
best of luck

Hmm...I guess the age difference and the fact that she is so young and he has kids already would make family members worry. I would say they need to wait a few years to see if the marriage is even going to work before having kids...but, I think most people should do that anyway.

I'm wondering what's going through his head. Your sister is young, naive, and her life is just starting. On the other hand this guy has been around awhile. I really question his thinking on this one. Not a very good roll model for a Police Officer. Sorry, but I disagree on this relationship. Hope your sister stops and thinks this one out before she commits.

very hard, id disapprove simply because she is only 19 a very young woman who does not really know what she wants no matter how much she thinks that is what she wants. Secondly, he is a man, man!!! what does he want with a barely legal young woman. I wish them the best but 21 yrs is 21 yrs. Potential divorce, i hope not but statistics are high on that category.
