Why do older men chase after girls young enough to be their daughters or granddaughters?
When I was 16, a man that was 60 wanted me to marry him. He helped me out financially because I left a bad home. He was a friend of the family.
While in that situation he would drop me off at school and want me to think of him as my dad. It was getting strange so I left. Once I did leave he accused me of being a nutjob and selfish and using him and playing with his heart.
And why is it older men chase young girls and then turn everything around? They make you feel like the bad one.
I would like to hear some opinions

Actually this experience has taught me to trust no man at all almost. Its very hard for me to trust even my current bf. A couple weeks ago I asked If I should give my bf a lie detector test because my mistrust of men is so bad.

All of those old farts are in denial about themsleves. They truly believe that they are desirable to young women when in fact its an ewwwwwwwwwww situation. Im 58 and I am friends with a lot of younger women because of the fact that they were friends of my daughter. Most of them call me pops or dad as I have helped some of them through some tough situations. It actually makes me sick to the stomach to think that I could woo any of them. These creeps need to learn to deal their role in life at an older age. Out of rejection they will turn things around and even though they are older it is not necessarily a sign of maturity.

No, I don't agree. I believe that just about all men (not boys) prefer younger women, but whether or not they're able to get one, is another story. My idea of the meaning of "men", would be guys that are out of their teens. I think some guys sometimes go after the so called "cougars", because they are pretty well assured of having a sexual relationship and, with very little of the hassles that they would probably encounter with young girls. An older woman would probably tend to take "better care" of a young guy, maybe giving him nice gifts and/or money, with the idea in mind of not wanting to lose him. Pretty much the same as a young woman with an older guy. Older guys tend to take much better care of young girlfriends than young guys their own age do. Again, money and/or gifts, and of course respect. Many young guys don't always show young women their own age, the proper respect. And I'm pretty sure that in at least some of these relationships, love possibly enters in somewhere along the line. And then there's maturity and stability. With an older woman, or man for that matter, usually the silly childish ways are gone, replaced by maturity and stability. Not always, but many times a younger person gets fed up with the hassles of trying to be with someone their own age and therefore look to someone somewhat older, to satisfy their wants and desires. I see no problem with that.

well obviously they are attracted to younger women, have you seen an old lady naked?? so the attraction is that they can feel young again and such with a younger woman, and lots of younger women fall for this because they are insecure and need the father figure because of a bad homelife so it is a vicious circle. What or why they do the other later like calling you a nutjob or whatever is probably because he thought he was working on getting more from you and never achieved it, so after spending money and stuff he thought you owed him something, I am not saying that is right, but he was probably very frustrated and lonely now with out you in his life. I think most men would be attracted to a good looking young woman and I can not fault them for that, but the insecurity of causing harm after it does not work out is inexcusable and shows just how insecure he was and is of his own self image.

They feel like they can lure young girls to do what they want and make them think that they are looking out for their best interest when they are not...They use them and manipluate vulnerable girls for their benefits...I think it is the worst thing a man can do....It's inappriocate and we as woman should always let other young girls like a sibling, cousin, or friend know to be careful and try not to mistake a man's offer for anything else than what they usually say.... Sometimes their intentions are fake....I really feel bad that this happened to you and I hope that through this experience you learned not to trust just anyone....Be well...

16 is way too young, but usually a longer lady is prettier and more fun. Why would a 60 year old man want a 60 year old woman, or vise versa. Me personaly i want someone on my level, so i would go with someone my age.

Because obviously there's something wrong with them to begin with and as soon as the younger girl leave, their fantasy life is over.
They're perveted and mentally twisted for the most part.

Maturity is not about age.
So that 60 year old man was just an adolescent boy on the inside, hence his pedophilia.

I will though admit, I have a fantasy and would like to have a relationship with a younger gurl but, I already know , that it would only be meant for a short time not for always.. atleast, thats wat I would tell her upfront and I would push on her way..
