In about a month, I will be having some surgery which will put me out of commission for about 4 weeks. My hubby works alot of hours, as does my older daughter who lives with us. How can I prepare ahead of time with meals, cleaning etc so my whole household doesnt fall apart while I am recuperating? I don't work so I have been the chief cook and bottle washer here.

So I've been with my boyfriend for a while now, and we're living together, I'm completely financially independent from my parents, and things are going amazing with my boyfriend. We're talking about getting married in 2 summers, once I'm done with school and everything. Last weekend we went to visit my parents and my dad and I had a chance to talk alone, and he told me that he really wanted us to get married, like next summer. I really wasn't expecting it, they've only met my boyfriend probably 5 times, and they like him, but I just thought it was weird he'd say that...are parents usually eager to get their kids married off??

We reside in Oklahoma & recently a really good job offer for my husband has come along problem it is Burlington, Ontario,Canada. I'm scared to go but, I think it could be exciting and I have heard alot of good things about Canada. I also think my husband would be happier at the plant in Burlington. I am extremely close to my mother and her and my step father have never gone a month without seeing their granddaughter, I told my Mom that we were considering moving to Canada and she started crying. I don't know what to do, and I can't even tell her how often we might be able to visit because we really don't know what the finacial situation will be if we make the move. Anyone out there with some advise or just words of wisdomand/or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

I wrote a few posts about my cousin & how she deliberately didn't invite me to her wedding, but she invited every other sibling of mine. Apparently it was intentional, b/c our mutual grandmother told my dad that I wasn't invited, then went even further to instruct him to not tell me about the wedding at all. I hadn't done anything wrong to my cousin at all to deserve this. My dad & I agree that what my grandmother & cousin did was catty & wrong.

A few people suggested that I talk to either cousin or grandmother & express my hurt feelings & ask them if I did anything to offend them. I don't know my cousin's #, & I haven't talked to her in a while, so it's probably best if I ask my grandmother. Esp since she's the one that went behind my back & I suspect that she had a role in my not being invited. But how do I do this in a way that is strong/assertive & not impolite? How do I start off the convo? I'm not good at defending myself(that's why I often get stepped on like in this instance

my kids' dad (ex hausband) is in jail. We broke up 3 years ago and I've moved on and really happy. Thier dad has not really been a part of thier lives because he was really caught up in drugs and basically a total flake. Well I guess since hes been in jail, hes been sober and wrote me a letter deciding he should take a role in our kids lives.
Anyway.. his girlfriend just had a baby and she would really like our kids to see their baby brother. Should I take them? The kids dont know her very well, but since they are half brother/sister, i kinda feel obligated to let them see the baby... what should I do??

Whenever something comes up about a car we get put to the this side. Now since we reside together and have 2 children, he keep sayin he wants his own place but he wants to get married still. I don't know what else to do I do everything that I possibly can and it seems as if he still not happy..... What do I do any suggestions?

My MIL is nearly an invalid, my FIL has just had a hernia operation and is bi-polar but won't take medication. I have been married for 24 yrs and I have never felt that I was ever good enough for MIL's son and our children have been virtually ignored. I got over this 10yrs ago. I told my husband 10yrs ago that I would not look after his parents if they ever needed carers. I told him 2 nights ago the same thing. I told him I was being honest and could not cope with caring for them. I just can't do it, I'm just not that sort of person. So his sisters told him we had to look after them this weekend. I blasted his sister for not asking me and then told her that I couldn't do it at all, after this weekend. I thought being honest my husband would understand, but he just thinks I should care for them as they are family. We have had a huge argument with me losing it and screaming at him that I just can't cope with being a carer. I feel his loyalty to his parents always comes before me.

I have a lot of pressure from my dear mother in regards her visit from overseas to Australia where I live. I am not ready, but I really like to keep the reasons private. my husband told her that he is busy. I told her we can't accept her visit.
She told me that she can come on tourist visa and see she can come with her friend but she want to do value and respect for me and my husband. I told her No many times because I am ready. She is playing her games. She just misses me and she want to see me that's what she said. and she asked me about my work at my house and my studies. I said to her I am fine, I can handle it. she keep asking the same questions.
My mom never respect my boundaries and never make me comfortable by invading my marriage life. and not respecting my husband's life.
She called me from overseas to tell that she is coming to Australia. She asked an arabic australian friend to send her an
invitation
she arranged her visa to get permission to travel to Australia.

she was learning dance, and often,in the night, she can't dance well or don't want to dance, then her mother would beat her,so the little girl cryed.

She is just the girl-very happy daytime,a little sad night.

But when asked who was better, mom or dad,she would say at once,"mom is better!"
Though her dad nearly never beat her,and treat her well.

My brother was on probation, he had a job in the city, was living with my uncle and was going to get a place for him and his daughter.
But one night he decided to go out and he ended up violating his probation and getting sent to a alcohol treatment center for a month.
Now he's out and he's been told that he can't go back to my uncles and that he has to find somewhere to live.
unexpectedly he kind of chose here with me, my daughter and my husband.
Tomorrow he wants me to go after his daughter so she can stay here too.
All this really bothers me cause we are already behind on bills and it's like he's just freeloading already. He doesnt know how to conserve.
what should I do?
the question I asked before this might explain more too.

He's only been talking to my mom about his, but my sister and I can hear it (since it's usually a loud argument) but we're 20 and 19. My mom doesn't really understand where he's coming from, or just tries to avoid it I don't know. My dad is very intelligent, graduated as valedictorian, but I think I heard my dad say that his co-workers and bosses just don't value him or think he's doing a great job, although he's been working with them for 10 years. He's been at work in various places for a total of about 30 years. I wish he would quit his job so he could be happy, but then he'd have to pay for our own insurance. And my mom doesn't work. We'd also have to move to a less expensive neighborhood, but I'm fine with that. I don't know how to tell him. Lately I avoid the subject because I'm sure he's really fed up of arguing about it every night with my mom. Is there anything I can do? Thank you.

Okay, so long story short, I've given up on my parents, because they have showed me over and over that they will use and drop me, don't think this is some teenage out cry, read my previous questions because I can't take this anymore with trying to mend this all, how can I seperate from my parents and just live on my own or whatever? Not like foster parents or anything just like to say we have no legal binds anymore, just let it go or whatever, I'm 15 and turn 16 in september, I see no other choice, for one example to those who too lazy to read my other questions, my dad has stolen from my wallet while I was sleeping and I haven't talked to him since he started his company 3 years ago. Thanks so much for the help, this is my only choice now, they are holding me down and not the parenting way, this has to end now. How do I get the papers and what do I need them to sign?
